Troops Sound Off in Mosul with Hannity

Bottom Line Up Front:  Soldiers get it; elistist media doesn't.

Sean Hannity recently visited Mosul, Iraq and had some candid conversations with the troops stationed there.  The video was aired last night on Hannity & Colmes.  Anyone interested in seeing just how wrong leftist politicians and media types are about soldiers, the war and all things patriotic needs to watch this video.  If nothing else, this short video clip will give an insight into the motivations, feelings and opinions of most of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  WATCH HERE (or click the image below)

Some of the issues the soldiers talked about include victory in Iraq, why soldiers enlist during wartime, the naivete of the press and politicians who want overnight success, how they feel about John Kerry's insulting comments about their educational and vocational status and the dichotomy between saying "We support the troops" and actually supporting the troops.  GREAT STUFF.  I've been saying this all along for three years.  This is certainly my experience as an Army wife.

    Response: Obama vs. Clinton
With the media pushing and pushing to get their agenda across to the masses we may all get to see what it is they so want, a Barack Obama vs. Hillary Clinton Primary in which the media is extremely sure that the winner would be the next President.

Um,jay, then how about this: how about trying to believe WHAT THE SOLDIERS IN IRAQ SAY ABOUT IRAQ? I think that's the point.

We don't get alot of coverage on the war in Iraq here in nz so it's nice to be able to keep up with some of it when I come up - keep it up Amy! :-)

What the soldiers said during that wonderful interview doesn't phase the far left, Amy. It's obvious, like your first commentor here proves, that they simply don't care. They pretend to care about our troops, but it's a lie. They don't give a rat's behind!

I saw that video on someone else's blog but can't remember whose. I've done a lot of visiting today. I absolutely loved it, and wish all the MSM would play it, but of course they won't! It wouldn't change the minds of the far left even if they did, but it would wake up some otherwise clueless Americans.

I really like Hannity. I don't have much use for Combes, but on a show like that Combes is a necessary evil. :)

I knew our guys could speak eloquently and able to express themselves quite lucidly.

They just made even prouder!!

Amy- I saw that interview- excellent stuff- unfortunately the lying left will accuse the right of handpicking an unrepresentative viewpoint of partisan soldiers, despite the fact that the military just released their recruiting numbers and stated that they not only filled quota, but exceeded it by a large margin. It's truly sad that no matter how much evidence you throw at the left- they still will do and say anything- no matter how sketchy, to justify their 'leave Iraq now' ideology.

I saw this piece and, athough the background noise was pretty bad, was really proud of these guys! Well spoken and obviously proud to be there. What great troops (esp. those Airborne-types!!)!!

"i should take anything on hannity and colmes as the truth about anything??? c'mon...sean hannity wouldn't know truth if it bit him. i mean really."

Of course that's total nonsense, but as Amy rightly put it, the idea is that the soldiers know what they are talking about. Unless you have some knowledge on the subject at hand that they don't?

You're right, the left will accuse the right of all sorts of scamming with this, but its not like Hannity got some Army flunk out to pose as a Ranger or anything...

Tim, I doubt lefties are going to have much to say about this.

This will be ignored also.
The MSM will ignore it and it will go away.

People who want to know what is what in Iraq should read you continually! That video was awesome and it sounds just like the guys I know who are, or have been, over there. Shout out to LT Pendleton, who is an IED hunter near Baghdad!!! Thank God for these dedicated troops. It reminds me that it is a continual insult to all good soldiers that John "Effin'" Kerry is a Senator in good standing. My opinion of Massachusetts will increase dramatically when they finally vote that traitor out!

Radar, that first sentence in your paragraph is one of the nicest things anyone has said to me in a long time (in the blogosphere). Thank you.

Watched the video late last night ( no cable here, was glad to see it!). Great stuff!. I told a friend a week or so ago that we need a congressman to stand in front of that body and tell each and every one of them:

"If you have a child between the ages of 7 and 18, look at them tonight closely. Because if we do not fight this fight now, with volunteers and a relatively weak enemy, we will surely fight it in 5-15 years with draftees, facing an enemy ten to one hundred times stronger"

Ma'am,
Sorry to say, but I'm not familiar with this website or anything but my dad was in that video and he sent me the link to view it. I just want to say thank you for all the positive things people are saying. I'm in the Air Force so I've been over there and I can't tell you how scared I am for my dad right now! And to be able to see him on video really made my day. I just think it's great that you've posted this video for other's to view and to hear what we are saying. Like my dad said at the end, "We love our Country..." That pretty much sums it up! Thanks for all you do for the troops! And thank you for letting our voices be heard.
December 18, 2006 | Unregistered CommenterCandace
Candace, Great to have you here. So your dad was the one who said "We love our country"? Good for him! My husband is active duty Army and served a year in Iraq. I am very much invested in the winning of this campaign in Iraq. Great spirit and soul in the guys like you and your dad. Thank you for lending him to America and Iraq. We thank you.

Who is the "enemy", Damdyankee? Which faction are we supposed to be fighting against? Sunni Insurgents? Shiia Militias? Which particular Sunni Insurgents and which Shiia Militias? Which groups can't we fight because their too closely connected to the Maliki government? Which groups have infiltrated the Iraqi police force and the Iraq Army we're trying to "train"?
All those macho sound bites sound great untill you actually ASK THE QUESTION...

What is the CURRENT MISSION?
