Pelosi *Says* She Prays for Bush

Bottom Line Up Front: Every religion has its apostates.

D-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace says she prays for President Bush... and the children.  Oh, and the troops.  Of course.

Well, every religion has its apostates. In Islam, Osama bin Laden, insurgents and suicide bombers are the apostates. In Christianity, it is so-called Christians who break the commandments of Christ, support gay marriage and abortion rights who are the heretics. Islamic apostasy is physically violent; Christian apostates are spiritually violent and lead people’s souls into hell by telling them what they want to hear rather than telling the truth; that is, discipleship to Christ requires submission to Christ and the commandments, not our own interpretations of moral ethics.

I don't understand why anyone would doubt it when someone says that they pray for someone else.

Let us then go forth as a Democratic Party that is known as the champion of working people in our country. – Nancy Pelosi.

Source: Annual 2006 Take Back America Conference Jun 14, 2006

Lest decrypt this statement. In Marxist terms, these “proletariat” are supposed to take over the state in a country that is at its pinnacle of capitalist, e.g. in a market-economy that is thriving in a developed nation. Form here, the “ the proletariat destroys the bourgeoisie” ( The controllers of capitalism, the controller of the modes of production) and the “ workers” of the state overthrow the bourgeoisie, then the proletariat will automatically ( this is Marx and we have no clue on this prediction of his) distribute all the goods evenly to all the people, and the proletariat will “automatically” produce goods at no profit for everyone, and everyone will have an abundance of everything, because capitalist have been exterminated.

It is not to say that Nancy and most extreme democrats use this Marxist terminology cryptically to get what they want, they actually believe that destroying the market-system, a capitalist economy, that suddenly the “mass-workers” will take over the modes of production and ‘work –hard” so that everyone will have an abundance of “material,” without a market-value. Everyone works for free, everyone works hard, and everyone will own the same things. I and others are still, and will forever be, trying to figure out what Marx wanted us to know after the “proletariat” destroyed the capitalists and took control of the modes of production. He gives no clue on what the economy will be – how it will run, who works where, what happens next?

Marx wanted to do away with Christianity, because it was a competition for a new religion called “Marxism. “ Nancy prays, contrary to Jesus’ methods, not for Christians’ ways, but for the demise of her enemies. In this way, we can understand why Marx did the same thing. Both have good intentions here, but they have no recollection with Christian good intentions. How can you prove that? They both promote their own religion over that of Christianity.

Stormwarning, I'm actually not questioning whether or not she prays.... she probably does. I'm questioning the legitimacy of her stance on politics and social issues in lieu of her faith. They contractdict.

Great post Amy as usual. I WILL question whether she prays or not and here is why.

Praying and publicly claiming you pray generally means you have some sort of religious beliefs.

So, what religion believes is homosexuality? What religion allows you to publicly lie on a daily basis? (Please anyone, spare me the hyperbole about she doesn't lie, she has been caught and it is documented all over the net).. The questiions go on but I think those make the point.

She claims to pray? Well most people I know that actually do pray, rarely have to continuously state it publicly to try to convince others. It is a personal act and usually religious people keep it that way.

Usually liars are more likely to make statements like that so people will actually think they DO pray.

I have seen all of us, offer our thoughts and prayers to injured or to someone who has lost a family member and that is a far cry from claiming to pray for someone that you have publicly shown so much disdain for.

I think anyone that actually believes that crap is far too naive.

Just my opinion.

Amy,
You make a salient point concerning profession and life style. In my opinion this piece is another futile attempt to win over the evangelical vote. I don't think it will work. People see through the hypocrisy.

Keep up the good work,

then we wonder how the people on the outside look at us and tells us we no longer are a nation of values.

if not supporting something like that is bigotry then call me a bigot and i'll wear the label proudly.

I don't understand why anyone would doubt it when someone says that they pray for someone else.

Stormwarning, I'll question the legitimacy of her praying.

In this same interview, she also claimed that she "prays for the Troops to Win in Iraq." Never once has she ever expressed any words other than "end the war," "redeploy," "change of direction," and such. She has never once expressed any desire for "winning in Iraq" until her revelation today that she "prays for the Troops to win in Iraq."

Her own words betray her.

I hope Amy doesn't mind, but I posted some of her previous calls here at my blog, Right in a Left World: Nancy Pelosi’s Prayers

So she prays ... so what? The Bible says that "the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19). The only prayer Nancy Pelosi should pray is one of repentance, and I suspect it's the only prayer of hers that God will hear. She needs to be reminded again and again that your walk talks and your talk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks. Meanwhile, dress her up in leather and send her to the fair.

Isn't there something in the Bible about a "Form of Godliness?" It seems to fit all politicians during an election year but there is another verse saying "By their fruits, you will know them." The positions many "Christian" politicans take on issues of a spiritual nature are not in line with the Christian values they profess. In our secular society, people just don't take notice of these discrepancies. Also, it's a strange thing but many, many Christians will vote for those who sponsor anti-Christian legislation. Confusion and bedlam reign!

Now, now, folks. I have no doubt she prays. The BIG question is: Exactly who is it she prays to?

October 8, 2007 | Registered Commentersteph

I am just fed up with any person who claims to be a "Christian" and doesn't have the foggiest idea of what that term really means.

We are followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings. The bible in terms of homosexuality, murder (abortion) paganism, pediphilia etc; is very clear. We are not to associate or partake in these activities, let alone condoning them for the sake of being politically correct.

I guess I am the only who was curious enough about the Folsom Street Fair, and after viewing a couple of pictures, I wanted to puke! I closed the window. How disgusting and perverted. If anyone supports that type of deviant behavior, I truly question their belief in Christ.

Can anyone say Sodom and Gomorrah

October 8, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterLeticia

Great comments from everyone.

Leticia, I love it when you get the fire in the belly. I also viewed those photos... made myself do it despite the impulse to vomit.... becasue this is America and I need to know what our representatives endorse. Both Pelosi and Barney Frank are right on board with this. Sodom and Gomorrah may not have been as bad.

If I were a resident of Pelosi's district, I would bring a lawsuit against the city and police department of San Francisco for contributing to the dilinquincy of minors and facilitating public lewdness, lawlessness and indecency. There's no excuse for it and no defending Nancy Pelosi. She is the main speaker, along with some Hollywood actors and athletes, of a gay pride type event this month. She's totally complicit.

This is the hot topic for the 27%?

October 8, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterJohnny C

Johnny C, it certainly isn't the hot topic for the pagan, anti-Christ 11% supporting the Congress liberals.

October 8, 2007 | Registered CommenterAmy Proctor

JohnnyC said: "This is the hot topic for the 27%?"

Yeah. So?

Amy, I'm afraid lawsuits are not an option. You are talking about California, after all. They're above the law and they assert that fact repeatedly at every opportunity.

I would love to be able to believe her, but her record is what it is.
