Lions for Lambs Bombs Worldwide

The anti-war movie Lions for Lambs starring Robert Redford (who also directed), Meryl Streep and Tom Cruise has not only bombed in the United States, but is officially tanking worldwide.  The film has shown in 45 foreign countries and grossed less than 18 million WORLDWIDE.  This is par for the course with the rash of anti-war, anti-military, anti-Bush, anti-American movies out in theaters now:

  • Lions for Lambs:   18 million worldwide
  • Rendition:  under 10 million
  • In the Valley of Elah:  less than 7 million
  • The Kingdom:  47 million

So sad.  So, so sad.  Crying.

It's a plot, I tell you! A neocon plot! Don't people know that these are some of the finest movies since Triumph of the Will? I am sure that all of these movies are boffo in the dungeons of Iran and North Korea.

Ha!

It is a neocon plot. We've plotted not to see this movie and so its a flop. Maybe there are more neocons in America than liberals want to admit.

Most lefty-Marxists live a philosophy of poverty, and so they cannot afford to go to the movies.

I am ecstatic to see all the anti-war movies flop. Although, I wouldn't categorize The Kingdom as an anti-war movie. I saw it and thought it was good.

well they'll still be all the rage at the film festivals, Hollywood is so full of itself it's funny.

When will the hate america crowd in hollywood wake and see that most, a huge majority, of americans and most people in the western world view this country as the standard they want to achieve? I guess if they lose enough money on this propaganda they will eventually be replaced. I doubt the shareholders for these studieos are very happy right now.

If a little church in south Georgia can make a football movie that makes more money than Lions for Lambs I would think there is at least one studio out there would make an Iraq movie about one of the heros of that campaign. Give me a call, I will work as a technical advisior for free on that one.

I imagine what box office there was is inflated. I can see people sitting through multiple screenings like they did with F911. It was probably th same hadfull in a number of cities.
