Petraeus Swears in 281 Soldiers ReEnlisting in Iraq
Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:57PM
Multi-National Force-Iraq Commander GEN David Petraeus swore in 281 re-enlisting soldiers last week in the Al Faw palace, one of Saddam Hussein's former homes in Iraq. GEN Petraeus said:
“Re-enlisting soldiers is one of my favorite duties, one of the greatest honors I think any of us can perform. And it is a true honor to be with you to re-enlist 281 of you at lest count, and that does include a ‘Sailor of One’.”
Someone needs to have a word with these soldiers. They’re making Democrats look bad. </sarcasm>

Applause, Applause, Applause !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Praise to our brave soldiers and to our Iraqi commander. What a palace. Look at all that marble.
Pretty cool, eh? I love GEN Petraeus, he's such a soft-spoken brainiac genius.
I have photos of Saddam's bathroom. I'll post them; they're pretty impressive.
But what are these soldiers doing re-enlisting? Just to police a sectarian driven civil war? Don't we all know the troops are opposed to this war and just want to come home NOW??
I don't think these folks RE-enlisting have been touched by the wisdom of "enlightened" people like the Code Pink broads.
See, this is something I don't get? For all the complaints I've read and heard from anti-bush/anti-war people why are there more and more soldiers signing up if it's not meant to be working? Surely these wonderful brave men and women must be getting something positive out of it? You and I know Amy that they're getting a buzz from simply serving their country and good on them I say!
maybe it is because they are pro-victory too. and what better support can we give them than being as pro-victory as they are?
you have to remember that the soldier is not an intelligent person according to the anti-victory folks.
