*Jesus Christ and General Jackson too, can't the Taliban do anything right? They must know we would be so gratefull to them for such a remarkable achievement.

"Liberalism is a sickness" isn't just a mantra, it's a fact. These people need serious therapy. But what would expect from a bunch who supports the Iraqi Insurgency?
I'm wondering now how sincere all those liberal well-wishers of D-Sen. Tim Johnson were after his near death experience with arteriovenous malformation just after the midterm elections of 2006. They were more concerned with him losing the balance of power for them in the Senate than regaining health. Republicans sincerely wished him well.
Viscous, disgusting people. No wonder they have to rely on illegal aliens, dead people and felons to win elections.
Ask yourselves why the Taliban has never tried to assassinate John Kerry, Hillary Clinton or the other few Democrats who have ventured abroad. Hmmmm......
Terrorism

Those comments put out by the liberals are totally disgusting. If and when the Dems get their way and pull our troops out of Iraq, then I hope that when the terrorists come here, they target the liberal puke heads first.
Not one of those nuts even mentioned the innocents that got killed in this attack. Their hate for Bush/Cheney overrides everything else. And this kind of BS is what the Dems try to cater to???
Thank god Mr. Cheney is well...
AubreyJ.........
I'm just surprised the WH didn't blame the bombing on Iran.
Jeez, these are jokes people....
gregdn, jokes are always funny when they're about people you hate. Hatred is not supposed to be a liberal character trait, is it? Or is it?
Most everyone hates the "bad guys". Now as to who the "bad guys" are, that, of course, depends on what side of the fence you are on.
Aubrey J - "Not one of those nuts even mentioned the innocents..."
The "innocents," are just acceptable collateral damage in the quest to twist what anything is about.
I don't pay much attention to the Left nor do I comment to them very often. I hadn't realized how much they really held on to their view of Bush/Cheney as liars and that's all the Iraq and Afghan theaters are to them.
If one has the time to banter back and forth with them, I say 'more power to you,' and give them hell....myself, I just don't have the time and don't want to waste what little I have when I can use it to post my own pathetic excuse for writing. I won't give them that time....IT'S MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks as always Amy and RCP voted on my way here.
Grumpy, come on. What moral equivelence is there between a suicide bomber/the guys who killed 3000 of our citizens on 9/11 and VP Dick Cheney? And please don't BS me with "over 3000 soldiers dead". You do realize the bad guys are responsible for our soldiers being dead, too, yes?
If anyone is going to blame Bush/Cheney for soldiers dying, they need to place equal blame on the soldiers themselves. They are volunteering freely for service. They put themselves in a position to die.
So what side of the fence are you on, grumpy? Are the bad guys our soldiers or the Taliban?
Those comments are a true reality of how the left think. It doesn't matter to them if innocent people were slaughtered just as long as VP Cheney was amongst them. And I thank God that he was unharmed.
I may hate (harsh word) Pelosi and Hilary Clinton but I would never, ever wish them dead or to die in such a violent way.
Shame on the left-wing nuts!
by the way, greg, when does good taste start and end with you people? Trent Lott praising the long service of a Senator about to retire lost him the majority leader position, even though Strom Thurmond was no more a racist than D-Bryd of WVa. How about George Allen's "macaca" comment? You guys just about had him tarred and feathered for those demeaning and insensitive comments. Give me a break!
Do liberals have any concept of appropriateness or honor? Wishing someone dead, especially the leader of their country? What a bunch of thugs. Verbally they're no better than the terrorists.
Amy,
You mistook my meaning. I wasn't comparing the "badguyness" of the bomber and Cheney. I was responding to your earlier silly statement that liberals aren't supposed to "hate".
Liberals hate Cheney for his actions and agendas just as the RW hates Clinton. Each is a "bad guy" depending from what side of the fence you are viewing them.
As deaths of our volunteer soldiers, I really don't care if each of them spent their dying breath praising your fearless leader. That's just irrelevent to the discussion of whether the decision to fight this war was right.
That invective is beyond nauseating; those people are immersed in hatred. In fact, they seethe it. Must suck to be them!
Amy: First off, let's stop with the 'you guys' (implying I'm a 'left wing type').
In fact, I think Trent Lott's comments about Strom Thurman were purely innocent and blown out of proportion. Same with Allen's 'macacca' comment. Same with Kerry's comments about the military.
Both sides need to ratchet down the paranoia a little bit.
gregdn, fair enough. However, I can't think of a conservative who thinks it's funny or just a joke to wish the country's VP were assassinated. But if I overreached my generalization to the point of offense, I apologize.
Only the left, far, far left nutroots go this bezerk. Lets get this straight. Forget Iraq. This attack had nothing to do with Iraq.
It was Afghanistan. It was the Taliban or Al Qaeda. Now try and think straight for a moment. These are the same low-life scum, murderous thugs responsible for all the deaths on 9/11, plus 1993, the Cole bombings and the Embassy bombings.
The lunatics of Huffington post should be condemned for their ignorance as well as their hatred. They've gone so far over the edge as to leave the reality of what is happening in Afghanistan. NATO is at war in Afghanistan along with America.
What kind of lost nutjobs are these people? I think much of this is fear and loathing. Now that they can't wind back, smoke a joint and watch beevis and butthead any longer, they're maxed out on crack.
Thanks for exposing this Amy. I knew this would happen. It's important that we show these hateful left-wing bloggers for what they are, and even more important that we show that we're just plain better people than they are. A juxtaposition needs to be shown between us and them using this situation in addition to the Edwards bloggers fiasco.
I've posted a copy of your story on my blog. Hope that's OK.
"Tony Hendra, author of the international best-seller Father Joe, attended(?) Cambridge University where he performed with Pythons-to-be John Cleese and Graham Chapman. He was an original editor of The National Lampoon and editor-in-Chief of Spy. He also played Ian Faith in This is Spinal Tap. His current book The Messiah of Morris Avenue...,"
Another court jestor turned political hater. A dime a dozen, along with Rozie the Ranter, Jon "Baghdad Bob" Stewart and Bill "throw'em to the lions" Maher.
Curious how long Hendra "attended" Cambridge? Long enough to degree? I'd think he'd list that little bit of achievement. PolySci major? Do tell. All the stage of the world awaiting his highness court jestors educational merits to speak on Afghanistan, Pashtuns, Punjabis and the other tribes of the region including the original Talib, forced out by foreign Al Qaeda and Taliban.
Editor in Chief of Spy... OK, he has true street cred, Mr. President, please hire this man for CIA before Blair and MI5 shag him. Or before he makes another tour as a coked out rock star.
Blind leading the blind. Terrorist murder our people and all these dimwitted lost souls can do is spew hatred onto men that try to defend our nation.
The enemy, the terrorist murdered innocent people today, including an American soldier in Afghanistan - the place where training took place that eventually led to 3000 deaths.
These people are so lost they cannot see the truth of what is happening. That we are at war and there are Americans who volunteered to fight a vicious enemy who murders innocent women and children every single day.
And all Kevron can do is pile on with more insults. Do you think we should retreat from Afghanistan to Kevron? What is your position?
Run, hide? Let the terrorist take over more countries? At what point do you make a stand? Do you ever? I seriously want to know.
Afghanistan is ground zero. If these hateful people cannot understand this or understand that the terrorist are responsible for the killings, then we have severe problems in our nation. This has nothing at all to do with Cheney, Bush or Republicans.
At what point do your rise to defend your nation? If I were a soldier, it would be very hard to fight for people like you. Your lame insults are disgusting, tacky and solve nothing at all, nor do you even pretend to recognize we are at war. Do you think a bunch of rick oil barrons made this all up so we could go to war in Afghanistan?
Just how far off the tree have you fallen?
Sigh.... to see those comments make one's blood boil. It is sickening to see. As if any of us want to be at war. I keep telling myself to try and not fire back with the same hatred and venom.
You know, I use to be like them. I was completely lost like most on the far left following the low hanging fruit of comedians. Think abou it for a moment. Most of the speakers of weight on the far left are comedians and satirist. Many of them never graduated, have no academic record to stand on regarding international issues. Do not bother to inform themselves of what is being stated by our enemy. Do not bother to read the Quran. Do not bother to read the news coming out of these countries. All they do is slam, slam, slam anything that is done or said by our leaders just because they're afraid, or on some self-righteous trip which is not theirs to be on - this is an all volunteer armed services - and even then many of them condemn our troops with the most vile comments.
I accepted Christ and my life started changing, gave up smoking, started caring about people, about the world in general, stopped watching a bunch of boob tube shows that drain your brain. Picked up books again on science, math, american history and world history. Thru my high school daze and college haze I did drugs and was far left nut root.
Lord, Lord, I was blind...., what impresses me about Yeshua, is that even now he reminds me to pray for these people that their eyes may be opened and the scales fall.
Sometimes people change, given time, mercy and grace.
Sigh, big breath :) I'd never make it as a politician.
Meanwhile, Iraqis think about a new, brighter future, politics of debate by reason and not by the gun....

Changes are happening. It takes time and patience, and our prayers. Lets hope that leaders are lifted up for this new struggling nation.
For as bad as this is (and it *is* bad; last I checked, Vice President Cheney has a right to life) I personally was a LOT more shocked and disgusted when the seculiberathiests cheered because Terri Schiavo passed away.
Given the vitriol, one wonders why Huffington's comments aren't moderated. This kind of thing doesn't improve liberalism's image as being obsessed with death.
"Each is a "bad guy" depending from what side of the fence you are viewing them."
The difference is that hopefully no conservatives call(ed) for some kind of terrible violence to befall Bill Clinton, who has the same right to life as Vice President Cheney.
Trent, the notable difference between Cheney and Schiavo is that she was murdered by her husband and the American justice system. In this case, Cheney was targeted by foreign enemies. I don't recall hateful comments about Terri Schiavo, but the creepy death-loving lawyer and his comrades was truly sickening. They were euphoric when she died.
I heard a debate on Fox last night (Hannity and Colmes) in which a moderately liberal babe argued that some blog entries made on the Huffington Post didn't represent the whole. Hannity asked the same thing, why the comments weren't moderated (just talking about the comments, not the actual blog entries). I think the answer is that Huffington doesn't disagree all that much. The buck stops with her.
"The difference is that hopefully no conservatives call(ed) for some kind of terrible violence to befall Bill Clinton, who has the same right to life as Vice President Cheney."
Ohh God, Trent, since when did you have the authority to speak on behalf of all your "conservative" buddies? Do you have a special radar, that detects conservative bloviations (which, acccording to you, has never happened!). We'll have to chalk it up to Jesus and his special blessings reserved for neo-conservatives in America.
Mavic, if it happened (and I never said it didn't) I have not seen it myself. And I'd like to think my fellow conservatives can be more mature than the juvenile ramblings you see in Huffington's blog.
Kevron, are you saying it's possible that I can prove that someone never said something??
What I find interesting is neither of you are really addressing the issue. Certain liberals cheered for the attempted assassination of a duly elected American official. Doesn't that bother you?
Liberals didn't cheer for the assassination of VP Darth Vader, far Left-wing looneys cheered for his death. Liberals labeled these messages and their posters "abusive" and deleted the comments off the blog. Thats called responsibility which is something Right-wingers constantly accuse the Left of not having and then completely ignore it when they do like Huffington did on her blog. She deleted these looney death posts and prevented these looneys of posting anymore. Liberals do not apprecite when their pundits suggest or insinuate death of our leaders like Ann Coulter has done repeatedly with Bill Clinton which the Right-wingers conveniently ignore in their "Holier than nothing" hypocricy.
How about taking responsibility for your own instead of defending them for doing what you appall about Libs.
Mavic, I think Trent said "hopefully", not "absolutely" no conservatives wished for violence to befall Clinton. I know I certainly didn't and he was my husband's commander in chief for 8 years. It was ghastly, but we never wished him ill. To the contrary.
Remember a couple years ago when Clinton had heart surgery? Liberals started a rumor that Republicans at a rally where the news was delivered actualy cheered the news. It was quickly proven to be false. The opposite happened; Republicans sent up prayers for his life and his full recovery.
Not all, but way too many liberals seem to have death and cruelty on their minds. It's sad for them.
Syntax, I'm glad you think those who cheered for Cheney's death were looneys. Huffington writers had entries saddened that the VP survived, and these were her staffers.
It took several days before Huffington would take the comments down. She was getting ready to do the interview circuit and had to save face, I suppose. She refused at first.
A couple conservative mavericks are totally outnumbered by mainstream liberalism when it comes to this kind of thing. We're not the hypocrits.
