Nuts Fruits & Flakes of the Anti-War Rally
Monday, March 19, 2007 at 11:20AM If you missed the war protest at the Pentagon this weekend, I have provided a video montage below representative of the event. The crowd was sparse, the speakers laughable and the crowd most probably on drugs. This is really a hoot and well worth watching. For the sake of time, I didn’t include the Islamic groups, illegal alien groups or ex-foreign 3rd world country cabinet members who spoke. What is it with peaceniks and puppetistas?
Notably absent from the festivities were Democrats and Hollywood activists. Why? Maybe because it was cold and windy. Even so, the peaceniks at the rally incessantly congratulated themselves on being good soldiers for braving the cold…. no wonder they don’t serve in the Armed Forces (beside the fact that they hate America and see our enemies as our friends); they’re just too wimpy. As a friend of mine pointed out, these people won’t fight to defend their country, but they will fight to defend their corner to protest.
Former D-Congressman Cynthia McKinney was one of the first to give a speech. Wow, is she bitter or what? Berg’s father also gave a strange speech. Ramsey Clark, former U.S. Attorney General, who actually was on Saddam Hussein’s defense team, talked about the Bush administration’s love of torture….. he didn’t mention, then, how he justified defending Saddam Hussein. Cindy Sheehan, whose speech squared with my personal experience with her, used her usual combination of incoherency and absurdity to convince the crowd this was a “bulls*** war”.
After watching this montage, you should feel as good about supporting the war on terror as I do. Even the liberals of the Democrat party are doing their best to distance themselves from these nuts, and in several of the speeches ultimatums to the Democrats in Congress were given. This angry smelly crowd was a circus. Fun stuff!

Watch or download video of these speakers:
Cynthia McKinney (3:51; 14:4 MB)
Michael Berg (2:07; 15.6 MB)
Ramsey Clark (4:06; 15.4 MB)
Cindy Sheehan (5:37; 19.3 MB)

Anti-War

In ProctorLand, would people be allowed to protest?
Until our recent move to a new military post, I protested weekly and more often when needed against anti-war vigils and protests. So, yes, I believe in protesting. This particular group though speaks without fact or logic to back itself up. They're absolute WACKOS. I like it when they protest. I really do.
PS... and talk about Kool Aid drinkers! "Hip hop, not war! Hip hop, not war!"
Peace, love and...dopes??
I guess I'll go to my grave wondering exactly what Cindy Sheehan said to her son that she is now insane with the guilt of it. That is, assuming she wasn't insane beforehand. I honestly feel sorry for her but even though I pity her, I wouldn't pacify her.
I know what it's like to send an only son off to a hostile place. I don't know what it's like to lose that son because he did come back, 3 times. Each time I was glued to the TV hoping to catch a glimpse of him to know he was alright. My heart was in my throat each time because I thought that one of those times his luck would run out and I would be getting a telegram or a phone call. I don't know if the Chaplains at Ft. Campbell would travel to Nashville to deliver the news. They might have but I wasn't sure of that.
I have his journal of his experiences. It is not pretty writing to uplift the soul. It's heartbreakingly painful to read some of it but I'm so very proud of him because he did what he thought was right, sometimes putting himself in harm's way to save others.
People ask policemen to put their lives on the line for them every day and if they mess up in the slightest, those same people would crucify them as they do our military. Why don't we just disband the whole, no military, no police, no government protections. What would happen then? Do you really have that much faith in the good of other humans to live like that?
In our narcissistic society, many think that if we talk to them everything will be alright. The narcissist doesn't understand that not everyone will dance to the tune he or she sings. In addition, they don't realize is the longer they talk, the more powerful the enemy becomes because he learns every weakness in the talk. Just because we don't want to fight doesn't mean they don't, either. History will teach you that if nothing else will.
Amy, I don't care for hiphop, because with my first introduction to it I could find nothing positive in. It is hate filled speech set to music. Now, I understand that many of the "artists" claim to have more than that now, but I haven't listened to it enough to determine whether that's true or not. Every time I try I think about all the lyrics in the beginning and my ears turn off.
rebelmama, if you watch the video I posted you can see there's one woman standing with a man with a bongo who looks so high she can hardly stand up. It's pathetic!
Just so you know, I do not support Cindy Sheehan. I do however support her right to protest.
As far as the War in Iraq...
I want to either win it or bring our troops home. I want Bush to give the order and let our fine troops do their jobs, no more of this PC crap. If the troops were allowed to do their job, this war would be over in a few days.
Yikes!! I must concur with Amy, those people are quite literally wacko!! They are insane. Glad they are not on my side. *shutters*
I really hate to be mean but the dopes comments, lol...I wondered several times while watching that video and others if these people were really there to protest the war or just there to relive some period of the 1960s.
Seems to me there were more photogs there than protesters. Though they are probably one and the same.
I love how they call the right sheeple, but they sit there chanting stupid slogans like "Hip Hop Not War!" because some moron told them to. Scary.
"and the crowd most probably on drugs."
That says more about you Amy than the protesters. I can understand if you don't like their message, but to impugn the entire group like that was a cheap shot.
gregdn, did you actually watch the video? Go 3 minutes and 11 seconds into the video as an example. If that lady isn't on drugs or drunk I don't know who is.
It is not a cheap shot. Until recently I used to counterprotest weekly a "peace group" out of Columbia, SC. Carolina Peace was listen in the Free Times of Columbia as being the number 1 place do to drugs. A PEACE GROUP is the number one place to smoke pot!
This has nothing to do with a cheap shot. These people have no real leg to stand their agenda on and live in the hippie 60's, drugs included.
The only thing it says about me is that I know these people.
By the way, did anyone notice Cindy Sheehan saying that we need to stop demonizing our enemy?? Like Saddam Hussein and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, I presume.
Our only true enemy in the War on Terror is Saudi Arabia. If Bush would pick up the phone and tell Royal Family that if one more American dies from a terror attack we will take over their country, all terrorism would stop.
They teach it daily to their children, hate America. I know, I've been there many times.
What does Bush do about it, he has them over for dinner.
They are behind every attack America has ever seen with money and people to do it.
I have a retraction to make...I finally saw a video where a few American flags were held up on the anti-war side.
Kevron
Dont' be silly dude. Osama's probably chillin' out in New York in his brand new Ford Taxi-cab or somethin'.
Amy, for some reason I can't play the video... maybe it's just as well, because I can just imagine it.
Oh man, where do you start with these morons?
"Stop ALL War"??????? IS this guy insane??
"Our voice is more powerful than their weapons"?? Gee, do you think their voice would work after an appointment with and al queada head sawing?
McKinney saying how horrible Dems are-hysterical! THANKS!! Now the nutcases have no one to vote for-good riddance!!
AMy- I got to see some peaceniks at Bragg this weekend.I'll send you some photos of the tin hat crowd later.
How does these protesters have the gall to know what is going on with war when most say that our president is the most secretive ever? Seem to us, conservatives know that all revealed information would be a road-block to total useless defeat in protecting a nation from a known enemy. This war on terror has been going on for thousands of years prior to the one were in now. Only now our president has slowed business-as-usual for the Islamofascist's goal in creating there world, something like Lex Lugar would do in Superman. Notice in point The drugged liberals(im talking of the look on protestors non-chalant stares and giddy to be on public pedastal) It was Afghanistan's proteg'e, but where was the resoureces they needed to train in a industrial environment? It was Iraq. Now there was a time warp of there building up encouragement and upbringing of terrorists ideas. Between the first Bush and Clinton administration, was a bit time for the boot camp of terrorism to engage. And the fact that our brotherly love in action, to let some be educated in our prestine colleges, was another naive trait. When our we going to discern the differance between our well being of harmony, and the "please everyone" so we dont "offend" certain groups of people? Remember this, to assume anything, is the start of ignorance. And to "offend anyone is assuming what the mind might think.
Amy,
All Bull aside...
Do you think the war in Iraq is going well?
Amy,
I keep posting here because I want you to realize that You, TexasFred, Robert and myself are all on the same side.
We want victory in Iraq, plain and simple. No cut and run but VICTORY!
If this is not the plan, then bring our Wonderful Troops home.
If our Military was allowed to do their jobs, we would have victory in a few days. Our President is not allowing this, he thinks he can fight a PC war against these people.
You really can't say that our Military wouldn't rap this up and soon, if given the order.
They would, believe me, I know.
So who's supporting the troops now?
Karen, sometimes Brightcove goes blank, but refresh and it should come back.
Ruth, I can't wait to see the photos. I was wondering if you'd made it up to DC this weekend or not. Bragg is even better!
“I don't care for hiphop, because with my first introduction to it I could find nothing positive in.” Steph
MTV, that institution of the trends of the young, have been promoting Hip-Hop , gangster rap, for decades and it only demeans blacks by stating their only way to get ahead is through violence, guns, drug dealing ect… bad stuff, and MTV promotes this, which is particularly insightful because they are as left as any institution. I almost see MTV people supporting this rhetoric, and just to think that someday they will garner enough low IQ people to place these people into office. That is why democracy was not liked by the founders and they chose to have a representative republic. However, the dems want to change the voting procedures so the MTV crowd can get voted into office and promote their hip-hop state. What will happen is other countries will just come in an take over America because in reality they have no idea how to run a state.
So who's supporting the troops now? - Ranando
So who's supporting the troops now? - Ranando
Only 1/3 supported the Revolutionary troops in the American Revolution. If liberal pollsters were around then, they would say no one supported fighting England for freedom. Nothing has changed in America, you have a larger crowd that is anti-war, and the same thing during the 1770-1780s in America. Only 1/3 of the population at that time could be called American, the other 2/3 were either neutral or opposed. 1/3 actually called themselves British subjects after the revolution. What has changed today? Probably nothing – probably the same spread exists now. What does this mean? Your argument has no relevance to me.
CalPatriot,
And your point is?
Calpatriot,
Have enougher drink.
Disbelief calls for it, KEvron. What is it with the use of capital letters in your name?
On to more disbelief:
"Cuba is free!"????????????????????????
Interesting post, Amy.
I particularly like the photos you posted, of the protestor's signs. If they get their way, and the US pulls out, how long will the West last? How long until they lose the right to carry obscene signs like that?
Pictures like those need to be published far and wide.
Ack! Moonbats! Get the spray!
Those idiots probably don't even know what they're protesting. Most seem to simply chant the sheehag mantra, smoke dope, and further the terrorist agenda. How sweet.
Ranando, I think CalPatriot's point was clear.
And please don't post here for my sake.
1) To say things are going "well" in a war seems like an oxymoron, but considering the historical context of wars and battles coupled with the verocity of our enemy, I'd have to say that things are going well in Iraq overall.
Again, civilian deaths considered its difficult for me to use that terminology out of respect for the hardships our troops and Iraqi civilians endure, but there's no doubt good news happens in Iraq on a daily basis.
I categorically reject that we're on the same side.
Really, Randando, how disingenous can you be? Victory in Iraq has been the administration's and military's plan from the get go. Democrats are fighting the surge, staying the course, the will of the soldiers, the will of the generals and the will of Iraqis and their government by continually pounding the redeployment tom-tom.
Do you realize that my husband IS a troop and we're on the same page, and it isn't the same page you're on? We do NOT feel supported by you or Texas Fred so don't ask who's supporting the troops now. Check out my counterprotesting bio and award and citations section and compare it with what whatever support you think you've offered the troops.
As for a "PC war", you have no clue what you're talking about. Just like TF. The military cannot "rap this up" as you suppose. We're dealing with human beings here:
1) civilians who need to be won over (i.e., counterinsurgency strategy)
2) enemies who blend in with civilians and need to be carefully weeded out.
Didn't you complain about Haditha and Fallujah or Abu Ghraib? Then how can you possibly suggest the U.S. military not take their time and do this right? You have no idea or context about Islam and how delicate a balance it is to win hearts and minds by preserving and respecting their customs and practices while undermining the cultish sects that are the terrorists and insurgents.
I could go on, but why bother?
I stand corrected, for some dumb reason I thought this was a war.
You have cleared this up for me.
We're on a Peace Mission to win the hearts and soles of the Iraqi People.
Hell, why don't we take them all to Disney World?
Yes, you really don't get it. Clearly this war is over the heads of you and Texas Fred. At least all you guys can do is armchair quarterback.
Try reading GEN Petraeus' counterinsurgency manual.
Amy did you happen to see Bill O'Reilly last night? He had one of the nut cases, Anti-war activist Sunsara Taylor on. She was out of control, wouldn't stop babbling and kept on saying everything was a "fact." So, Bill asked her to produce the "facts" and she got all huffy and came back with "you're the reporter." Or something close to that.
She couldn't back anything she was saying and basically made a total ass of herself and of all her counterparts. She was full of so much hate and quite literally believed every lie she was saying with great conviction. It is truly sad to see someone so confused and trying to speak coherently and intellectually and fail miserably.
Very pathetic indeed.
Have you ever been to the Middle East?
I have, many times for over 25 years.
Up until 911 I did busines with these people in Iran, Isreal, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait and many others. I've been to their homes for dinner and on 911 I stopped, never again.
I've been involved in the entertainment industry and have dealt with these people right here in the United States and that too will never happen again.
If you or your husband think that you as Americans can win the hearts and sole of these people, I really feel sorry for you.
I was just in Vietnam last January and those people, we can win their hearts and soles. They're open and ready to change and become part of the World we all live in.
That will never happen in the middle east, ever.
I'm an expert on dealing with people in the Middle East, that is if you even want to call them people.
After listening to the dribble coming from those morons, I can honestly say that there isn't a single one of them that even knows the Constitution of the United States. Ignorance is bliss.
That’s just down right embarrassing to watch...
But you’re right, Amy... It’s funny!
Is it me or was the main topics of these people more on hate Bush... impeach Bush and everyone below him... I mean... they really are not talking about troop support here at all. It’s all pure, deep down HATE with the word TROOPS as a disguise.
AubreyJ........
Part of the media campaign for the war on Iraq is to paint the opposition as a bunch of kooks. Note that all of the antiwar activists they portray are either Marxists, neo-Nazis, or militant Islamists. Patriots against the war are ignored.
Of course he did.
The media always focuses on the nutcases.
It would have been a much different story if O'Reilly had one of the columnists from LewRockwell.Com on.
I take it by not answering my question, it's a big NO.
Ranando, I've been busy this week. I wasn't ignoring your question.
Only my husband has been to the Middle East but frankly that's as irrelevant as Cindy Sheehan being right about our foreign policy because she had a son die in the war.
You're not willing to be informed just as TF isn't. That's your perogative, but let me give you a brief bio that I wrote in a previous entry for someone else:
You don't understand the concept of hearts and minds, moderate Islam, true Jihad and Hirabah. Do you know why there was a relationship between al-Qaeda and Saddam before 9/11? They were both Sunnis, although not in the mainstream. Osama and al-Qaeda is Wahabbist... a radical sect of Sunni that disregards moral edicts of the Koran regarding killing innocents and calling it Jihad. Saddam was a secular Sunni who wanted to acheive PanArabism. My husband brought home a brochure from Iraq that Saddam distributed picturing him kneeling to pray on a prayer mat... Iraqis laughed at it because he was a secular, non-religious Muslim and it was a political ploy in his attempt to unite the Middle East under PanArabism.
So the majority of Muslims, including those in Iraq, who know and identify the difference, are sympathetic to US and coalition forces when they see we're protecting and respecting their religion but going after Wahabbism and Hirabahism. This is why we could just go into a mosque and blow out al-Sadr.
At any rate, I'm sure I'm wasting my time. You who claim to have visited the Middle East many times have never been to Iraq and don't understand the intricacies of this war, this people or the religious nature of both.
Ps... and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say yet, but a general from Iraq who has been there for some time is coming to take GEN Petraeus' place. I'll announce who it is once I know it's been cleared. I would love to interview him and give you some insight into what I'm talking about.
Is this classified information?
He has to go before the Senate Committee first so it's not set in stone. It's not classified.
Are you saying that our United States Troops will be serving under an Iraqi General?
No, he's a U.S. general..
You had me worried there for a moment.
anti-war protesters have NO PLACE in my country.
our men and women in uniform have voluntarily joined the military.
they joined knowing what the consequences are and would be when called upon to defend this great nation of ours.
it has been said that there are those who hate war more than you do.
THOSE BEING THE MEN AND WOMEN IN SERVICE AND SACRIFICE TO THIS GREAT NATION WE CALL AMERICA.
i have seen your protests all across america, you are shameful a disgrace to what AMERICANS are and what AMERICANS believe.
you call yourselves patriots, yet you burn the flag burn soldiers in effigy and drag them amongst the streets in effigy.
you trash AMERICAS authority you trash AMERICAS sovereignty you trash AMERICAS interests.
this is not the definition of a patriot.
your actions define treason to a t.
your words echo treason to the true AMERICANS of this country.
you are not fit in the slightest of way to call yourselves american or patriots .
you are ungrateful people selfish people hateful people.....
while our men and women fight for you for your freedom for your way of life for your families you trash them and in doing so you embolden AMERICAS enemies.
PRESIDENT BUSH IS A MAN OF INTEGRITY HE DOES EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO.
and has done so amidst a guantlet of your hatred against a horrific attack on 9-11 tragic natural disasters etc......
for once in your lives try being constructive instead of destructive.
build up dont tear down.
good day
americas traitors
Dissent is the highest form of patriotism -Thomas Jefferson
ST, I understand that is NOT a quote from Thomas Jefferson. Every source I'm finding says it isn't. Do you have some proof that he did?
That's an incorrect statement whether he said it or not. Dissent is not the highest form of patriotism. That's a stupid thing to say. Obviously selflessness, the governing of "self" to make a democracy work and devotion to God and country are higher forms of patriotism. Dissent is a right, not patriotism.
Please feel free to cite a source. I can't find any legitimate one that attributes that quote to Jefferson.
The article on antibiotics are very good.
