This Army Wife is Appalled at Biden Speech
Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 01:29PM Bottom Line Up Front: Joe Biden is guilty of treason. That’s the bottom line.
Yesterday on the floor of the Senate, Democrat Joe Biden from Delaware gave this inflammatory speech insulting the President and the mission in Iraq.
As an Army wife, I’m moved to not only a state of disbelief that this sort of damaging rhetoric could possibly be coming from the United States Senate rather than an al-Qaeda propaganda tape, but a deep sadness that the Democratic Party has become another enemy of this great nation.
This surpasses anything I’ve heard Harry Reid publicly say and I cannot recall any speech with more venom and recklessness towards America except coming from former al-Qaeda in Iraq leader Musab al-Zarqawi when he was threatening to cut off the heads of all infidels. Biden has become America’s infidel.
He referred to the surge, the reinforcement of troops as a “siege”. He couldn’t pronounce the name of the Iraqi Prime Minister. He embarrassed his position as Senator and as far as I’m concerned, he is not fit to serve in any capacity of public service.
Jesus said anyone who calls his brother a fool is in danger of hell fire, but Joe Biden is a fool. He is no brother, no friend of America, no friend of mine or my husband’s, or any of our military comrades. But King Solomon, one of the wisest men who ever lived, wrote “The wise inherit honor, but God holds fools up to shame.”
Fool.
Keep the “It’s time to support the troops” speech to yourself. You are the enemy of our troops, Senator Biden.
Make no mistake about it: this is a full throttled propaganda campaign by the Democrats that is as deceitful, as disgraceful and as dangerous as al-Qaeda’s.

Well said Amy and I could not agree more.
Only thing I would correct is Biden is not just a fool, but a DANGEROUS fool. Dangerous to our troops, dangerous to our country by actively encouraging our enemies and therefore dangerous to US and our families as well, which makes this WAR.
They want war... I say, lets give it to them...in SPADES.
My husband is ACAPing after 23+ years in the Army -- he said people like Biden and the surrendercrats are the reason he's getting out. No its, not the main reason, but he was set to get out of Kerry and/or Gore won over Bush. This breaks his heart, although he doesn't show it -- and I've learned to vent quietly -- because reminds me that he wears the uniform that gives them the right to say what they feel. They are the party of in-action, all they are is hot air; unfortunately, they also have the Rosie's and Katie's that support their views and present these at every chance to the empty headed citizens that can't, or won't, find out the truth.
personally, I like the term dumbass better, but fool works.
Jo, what a shame. If anyone doesn't believe that the words of these Democrats hurt the military, you and I are examples of how untrue that is. It devastates morale.
"Joe Biden is guilty of treason. That’s the bottom line"
OK, then yank "I can't remember" Gonzalez's chain and get an indictment. Sheesh.
It seems that anyone who disagrees with the disastrous policies of this clueless administration is labeled a traitor these days.
Biden is a senator. Speaking in Congress. You know, that co-equal branch of government. This is the job of Congress, to question, to push to investigate, to oversee. Frankly, we don't see this "treasonous" behaviour often enough.
If only the king wanna be would listen to someone other than those in the bubble, he might learn a thing or two. Or at least start to think, question, become curious about the outside world.
I second Grumpy Old Fart's comment. I'd pay to see Bush try indict anyone in this country for Treason. They've have to bring the troops home to put down the rebellion that would ensue.
Spree,
Talk about dangerous. Are you advocating violence against a United States Senator and those who agree with him? Let's hope we don't meet in a dark alley somewhere.
I advise you to take a breath.
Amy what part of you making up less than 30% ofthose supporting the meat grinder don't ya get? You conservatives have no standing (again conservatism doesn't exist) Ams you make up a slient really slient minority but hey if you support the war so much hey make it a couple thing and sign up you look strong enough to carry a M-16 give it a try and Ams got some more news for you outside one general and the collective of clowns that reside in the white house no one else thinks the war is winnable. So basically you and these right wing half wits support the murder of the Iraqis but the people you guys claim to support the troops.
Elmer, I think Spree's talking about this word battle.... Biden talked about being relentless in the end of his speech.
Johnny C, you cannot back up anything you say with more than an anonymous user name. No facts, no links, no data.... no wonder you remain anonymous.
If we supported the murder of Iraqis, we never would have invaded to begin with. Remember the millions of Iraqis Saddam murdered and no one else in the world did anything about it? It's the Dems and liberals like you who are will have Iraqi blood on their hands if we have to leave prematurely. The genocide will be massive.
We've given almost $20,000 to Iraqis... what have you done?
AMY: "... Joe Biden is guilty of treason ..."
SG: What!? He outed Valerie Plame too
Snerd
AMY: "... As an Army wife, I’m moved ..."
SG: You and Cindy Sheehan ...
Snerd
AMY: "... Make no mistake about it: this is a full throttled propaganda campaign by the Democrats that is as deceitful, as disgraceful and as dangerous as al-Qaeda’s ..."
SG: f(R)ee speech is great and worth invading Iraq for and fighting for ... it just shouldn't be practiced at home. It threatens our (R)epublic!
Snerd
Remember the millions ... hundreds of millions ... of Iraqis Saddam murdered and no one else in the world did anything about it? Except 'US', which gave him satellite intel so he could gas the Iranians ... oh and the gas which he got from the west ... oh and Rumsfeld, who showed up afterwards to help him out with all the bad press from it ... oh and when we let him fly into the Northern No-Fly Zone to kill the Kurds the US promised to support if they rose up against Saddam .... Bushies with Iraqi blood on their hands ... The genocide was be massive.
Snerd
"is the job of Congress, to question"
You are speaking specifically of the white -flag waving traitorcrats? They do not question anything or anyone? They never liked this war from the start. They are just dissenting which is their right. Many do business with Islamic representatives throughout the world, and this world hurts their greedy image. This is just politics, they care less that mostly young Republicans are dying on the other side of the world.
"oh and the gas which he got from the west " IS Russia part of the west? ;actually the chemicals used came from the Russians, only the US offered raw materials, they Saddam army didn't know how to mix the chems. You spew propaganda from propaganda websites which even fool the white flag traitorcrats.
Snerd Gronk I see no mention of Bill Clinton's name or Hillary’s and the Democrats in office in 1998 that allowed the Democrats to bomb innocent Iraqi citizens in Desert Fox ( 1998. Or 1999 Yugoslavia which destroyed millions of lives till this day and accused a leader of genocide when the UN after 6 years could not find anything.
Why?
“f(R)ee speech is great and worth invading Iraq for and fighting for ... it just shouldn't be practiced at home. It threatens our (R)epublic!”
What do the parenthetical applications have to do with English?
Only people that are attempting to curtail free speech is the Democrats, never the Republicans. This applies to laws, and a law is coming up that says one cannot say certain words to gays or people that think they are gay or people in the future think they will be gay or gays who do not know, but after will know so they can prosecute the free speecher. This Bill being presented is also connected to many other Free Speech issues, and is presented by the Democratic Part for Against Free Speech Rights.
Amy,
The barbarians are at the gate. Not only in Washington, but on our blogs too. These jerks WANT us to lose the war, simply so they can blame it on Bush. Since the Bush administration is winding down with no apparent loss in sight... they are going to FORCE us to lose! They're trying to speak truth into their lies. They ignore the hard successes and hype the made-for-TV car bombings. They can't stand the thought of a U.S. victory in Iraq because it would only redound to GWB's honor and expose their own foolishness. The thought of GWB getting credit for the surge working is just incomprehensible to them... it would make their brains explode!
But don't worry, God rewards the righteous. "For thou dost bless the righteous, O LORD; thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield." --Psalms 5:12
Your description of Biden as a "fool" is fitting... "It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; but every fool will be quarreling." --Proverbs 20:3
"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion." --Proverbs 18:2
"Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a man who is perverse in speech, and is a fool." --Proverbs 19:1
(:D) Best Regards...
Snerd, most of your comments are unintelligible.
You do know Cindy Sheehan isn’t an Army wife and that her son wanted to serve.. he re-enlisted knowing he’d go back to Iraq. But that’s another issue.
Rumsfeld met with Iraq in 1983. I believe it was one of the, if not the, first meetings between the US and Iraq’s fairly new leader. We do that… meet with other countries. Shortly afterwards, the relationship soured because it became clear that Saddam was developing and using chemical weapons.
We ‘le’ Saddam kill the Kurds? Iraq tried to shoot down our planes in the No Fly Zones for 12 years.
Here’s an idea; how about blaming.. let’s say… SADDAM! But if you want to blame America, start with the Clintons. I choose to blame Saddam and Osama and Zarqawi.
I think this topic may be advanced for you.
No Amy, the relationship soured when the USA found out at that Saddam wasn't going to roll over and let Rumsfeld rub his belly. To anyone with half an understanding of history, would realise that the US relationship with Saddam was just one of many other "I scratch your back, if you scratch mine" kinda deals. But which one of you Republican cult members pay attention to history? Evidently not too many...
mavic, perhaps you need to restudy history. Early in WW2 things weren't going well. Republicans were complaining as were conservative Democrats. Not one of them went public in opposition, traveled to foreign countries to meet with supporters of the enemy ot ever declared all was lost. They met in private with Roosevelt and together built plans and support for the troops to win. Todays Democrats can't do that, they can only see strong opposition, regardless of how many Troops die in the process, as the road to power.
As for Saddam, yes, the country did court him in the fight against Iran. So what? We sided with the Soviet Union in WW2 also. Japan was our ally in WW1, yet a bitter enemy in WW2. Sort of like the old, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend?"
Regardless, his acquiring WMDs from Russia, France and Germany and then misusing them did not set well, nor did the invasion of Kuwait or his refusal to comply with 17 U.N. resolutions over 12 years between the Gulf Wars.
After 9/11, would you be willing to ignore the vast majority of International Intelligence about those WMDs, or listen to one or two others? Doesn't it make you wonder, since so many Intelligence Agencies said they were there, during the six months long "rush to war," what happened to them suddenly?
Try reading some real history.
ooh yeah Mavic, you certainly pay attention to history, don't you, like how Harry voted for this war, and how Harry and the rest of the democratic demanded troop levels were too low what, just last year? now they insist troop levels are too high. and they claim Bush is so stupid, yet he hoodwinked them into this war, yeah, you pay attention to history alright, like 1200 years of violent Islamic fundamentalism, the viet nam war lost by politics, yeah, a real history expert ou are huh? shit, you would not even recognize the positions of great democratic leaders of the past, certainly not Jack Kennedy, who would no doubt bitch-slap his little brother if he were alive today.
Mavic, you're wrong. I don't have time right now but for you to suggest Rumsfeld wanted to "rub Saddam's tummy" is asinine. Rumsfeld came to his own disturbing conclusions after the meeting. The library of Congress has info on this.
I guess you could go with this conspiracy theory: Rumsfeld helped trump up a case for war because he didn't get whatever pay off he wanted from Saddam, right? It's as viable as anything a Rosie O'Donnell type can come up with.
GREAT post!!
I am with Spree...the war of the states is on. Whether it is a war of words or otherwise, we are in this war at home for our survival.
The Defeatocrats have no cares at all except for their beloved political power, the nation be damned.
I have cross-posted.

Thanks, Snooper. Appreciated! I'll see what I can do about getting your link up on my side bar.
As the daughter of a retired AF Colonel and the wife of an AF Captain who went with the Army as a Battle Captain to participate in Operation Enduring Freedom (whom is finally home after 8 months), I do not agree with your statement “the Democratic Party has become an enemy of this great nation.”
This is not a one-party system for a reason and people who agree with Iraq and Bush don't have the sole claim on patriotism.
Biden, Polosi, and Reid are only doing what the MAJORITY of Americans want them do- GET US OUT OF THIS UNPROVOKED UNJUST WAR.
I am a special education teacher at a title one school and not a day goes by that I don’t see the horrible effects this administration has had on our children. Funding for their mental health, their social services, and their safety at school has been slashed. We need to get out of Iraq and start helping out Americans need. We need to try to solve America's problems. It is unquetionably the more American thing to do than to spend that same money to fight a war in Iraq that 71% of Americans polled this week disagree with. I also think taking the 8 billion dollars we spend a month in Iraq and using it to help our fellow Americans is the more Christian thing to do.
Bush’s approval rating is at an all time low- 28% and Cheney’s is 8%. How any American (Republican or Democrat) can still support this corrupt administration is incredible.
If Biden wins the primaries- HE HAS THIS AIR FORCE WIFE’S VOTE!!
