Iraqi Parliament More Effective Than U.S. Congress

Bottom Line Up Front:  Democrats in Congress are less productive than the Iraqi Parliament whom they they say accomplishes nothing.

Democrats for the past several years maligned and impugned the Iraqi government as ineffectual and incapable, but in a side by side comparison it seems the Iraqi Parliament has out-legislated the Democratically controlled Congress in DC.

The House Committee on Foreign Affairs compares Bills Signed Into Law:

  • Democratic Congress – 48
  • Iraqi Parliament – 53

Brilliant, and current Capital Hill News is Hillary and Pelosi (other far-lefties in office) want to regulate ‘right-wing’ Internet and Talk Radio with Congressional legislation, much further than the failed “Fairness Doctrine” recently voted down would have done. According to their plan, each Internet News Source, and each Radio Station (mainly right-wing talk radio, because people can’t stand the silliness of left-wing radio for too long, before they get tired and leave to another channel ) must offer 50-50 coverage to each political side’s argument. However, the democrats are bottled down, because they do not have arguments, and their arguments in the past consist of “blaming” the ‘other,’ they wonder why people leave the left-wing talk radio for other channels – because that gets old after a while, and really speaks poorly for the average American citizen that can think for themselves.

Socialism, especially in Mao’s China ( mid-‘50s to late ‘70s Communist China), was a policy by the central government to forge a concerted effort to keep the people from achieving literacy and having institutions’ to conduct wide-scale education for the masses of Chinese citizens. The Communist government did this because stupid people are easily controlled, they believed. Both Hillary and Pelosi’s plan, and the Chinese government of Mao’s era have one commonality – both wanted to regulate ‘Free Speech,’ in effort to dumb down the people of their states, in order to control the masses.

LOL! The 'incompetent' iraqi government, not even 2 years old, is more productive than the dem-led US Congress! Oh, this is classic! Great post, Amy. I would dare say the Iraqi Parliament has a higher job approval rating than Congress' whopping 14%...

Cal, great point about the socialist aims/devices of the left on Capitol Hill. These are the same dems dignifying hate speech on the Daily Kos by their appearance at their convention. Homosexuals, communists, atheists and earth spirit pagans unite!

What a good idea, to even up the comparison, lets isolate congress from the population build a fortress around it and allow a foreign power give them instructions with a threat of removing their protection if they fail to rush through laws.
I wonder where the Iraqi politicians are taking their summer break.Have they left the green zone for the well earned break?

Providing the Iraqi politicians do the job they were chosen for they might even be given refugee status once defeat is accepted by those who defend the walls surrounding the ‘little democracy’.
With no where safe to go outside the Green Zone and no constituents to consider Iraq’s politicians spend less time considering the laws they pass and do not have to listen to any other lobby groups other than those linked with the occupying forces.
If congress only had one powerful lobby group to please, it would also be more productive, but that’s real democracy for you.

simon, just a little FYI: over a year ago, the IA took over security for the Iraqi Parliament, so it became part of the Red Zone. The MSM and you never figgered that out, tho'.`
