Bolton Says U.S. Diplomacy With Iran at an End

Bottom Line Up Front:   John Bolton believes diplomatic options are essentially at an end regarding Iran’s nuclear threat.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. believes time is running out on diplomacy with Iran, according to an interview on Fox’s America’s Newsroom  yesterday. He also said he hopes a military strike on Iran is on the table in the next 6 months.

though it is a frightening thought, military action against Iran may be necessary.

To pre-empt or not to pre-empt, that is the question. Criticism abounds if we do, but we may lose thousands of lives if we don't.

I bet Amy can't wait to tell us after we strike them how much the Iranians love America!

Wabi, whether we pre-emptively attack is above my pay grade. I do think Bolton did an outstanding job as U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Iran is quantitatively different from Iraq in that Iranians hold elections and will probably vote Ahmadinejad out. Not only that, there isn't the same level of humanitarian threat by a long shot as existed within Iraq. I believe we were justified to enter Iraq based on that alone. Just my opinion.

I'm really surprised at your attitude, dtodeen. As per the other thread, I made myself clear.
