No Murder Charges Filed Against Haditha Marines

After a 2 year investigation and claims by Democratic Congressman John Murtha that Marines in Haditha, Iraq, murdered civilians in cold blood, none of the Marines involved will be charged with murder.

I said this from the beginning, that the war in Iraq is not a Hollywood interpretation and that this was simply a horrible mistake based on Marines reacting to an IED that killed a fellow Marine. This situation which MoveOn.Org types used as propaganda against the war wasn’t one of cruelty to civilians but rather the fog of war and combat training.

What bothered me about the situation Amy is this was nothing more than civilians attempting to apply peace time civilian laws to military combatants during war time activities. It just doesn't work. The rules our military follow during war are as different to civilian laws as apples are to broccoli.

We (the United States) are not mass murderers who seek to destroy all in harms way. The moneys expended and efforts put forth to design and build precision weapons is testament to that; however, there will ALWAYS be collateral damage, and in battle, WE WIN... there is NO OTHER CHOICE... period.

Anyone who argues that point will show themselves to be non-supporters of our military and as treacherous as Benedict Arnold.

What is also wrong here Gawfer is that these Marines in undescribable conditions were being thrown under the bus. Civilians cannot understand what its like to be in combat. There's no way to describe it. To forego the usual presumption of innocents by the anti-war nuts shows who they favor. It's that simple. John Murtha should have known better, but then, he's an anti-war nut and we know whose side he's on.

Truth will out, and vengeance is God's. Murtha has done evil to every Marine and soldier who has served, his elected position compounding his crime. Murtha owes us a long period of schadenfreude. For my son and his comrades in Iraq, I want to see Murtha suffer, and him thrown out of office in disgrace would be a good start. Traitor.
