Spokesman: 'ACORN Practices Are American as Apple Pie'; Worker Caught on Tape Saying She Registers People for Obama
Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 05:13AM ACORN is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, the corrupt voter registration organization that Barack Obama worked for in Chicago as a community organizer. ACORN is the group responsible for massive voter fraud throughout the United States, for registering dead people, pets, felons, illegal aliens and the same people multiple times.
In an investigation into the ongoing voter fraud scandal rocking the political landscape in America, a college reporter in Ohio interviewed a woman who registers new voters with the early get out to vote effort by ACORN.
Here is what she accidentally admitted, followed by an interview with ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson.
Scott Levenson, National Spokesman for ACORN said:
- ACORN registered 1.3 million votes in the last year!
- Disenfranchised are participating in ways they never have before!
- ACORN is non-partisan!
- All these stories about ACORN, they’re just “silly season”
- ACORN turns over every supicious registration to the authorities!
- ACORN and Project Vote are American as apple pie!
Bonus: The Obama campaign gave $800,000 to ACORN’s parent company

Amy, I agree. Voter fraud is unacceptable whether coming from the left or the right. This is an important issue.
MD,
But it usually comes from the left.
Mack,
Yes, voter REGISTRATION fraud very often comes from the Democrats, while the more effective ELECTION fraud comes from the right.
GOF,
Another fiction from the left.
Mack,
There are many accounts of fraud from both the left the right in the 2000 and 2004 elections. Earlier this month in my homestate (Ohio) and in Michigan, there were several allegations of caging performed by Republicans--direct mailings sent to poor areas or to inviduals in foreclosed homes to confirm address etc that if not returned within a certain timeframe, would result in those individuals having their names disqualified from voter registry lists. So for example, a voter who may have recently moved and is no longer at the stated address might have the letter returned unopened and that person would be unfairly disqualified. Republicans have specifically targeted and tried to disqualify individuals living in foreclosed homes--a particulary smarmy tactic during this housing and financial crisis. This practice occurred quite commonly in 2000 and 2004--easy to find on google or wikipedia.
However, I am disgusted by what is happening within the ACORN organization which is the topic of this post. It is electoral fraud, plain and simple. If ACORN does not have the proper resources to monitor its voter registration efforts or if people are outwardly committing coercion or fraud, as appears to be the case, then ACORN must be investigated and brought up on charges.
I wonder how difficult it would be to discredit an organization by infiltrating the organization and blatantly fill out 2000 voter registrations with the same handwriting. I would think that if someone would seriously try to commit fraud undetected that person would have made it not so easy to detect (notice pronoun usage).
We hire contractors all the time to minimize permanent employees to give us a flexible work force based on needs. Because we deal with pharmaceuticals, we qualify contractors but they are responsible for their own employees. There has been a few problems, but manageable.

Favorite quote from the video: "Okay, I got ta go!"
Don't worry grumpy, looks like the Dems will be stealing the election this year. It'll be interesting to see how they report it. "We won fair and square, Republicans are just sore losers!"
If they win, mark my words. They just can't be honest to save their lives (or their campaigns).
I am not trying to justify lying anywhere, but one would have to be cultish or naive to believe the McCain/Palin campaign did not engage in lies during their campaign. According to Brian Rogers, a McCain spokesperson, “we’re running a campaign to win. And we’re not too concerned about what the media filter tries to say about it.”
Well George in Seinfeld believes that if you believe your lie it is true, maybe that is part of the problem.

Amy,
What a few ACORN workers did was wrong. But don't label all Dems, that's so immature and it just demonstrates that you're being a poor sport. The Dems aren't likely to need any favors or help to win this election. Barack Obama is doing it all on his own. So nice try, but they will probably win "fair and square".
A FEW?? ACORN workers? MD, it's a MASSIVE voter fraud scandal! There's nothing "few" about it.
Every year we hear about ACORN's fraudulent practices. Our last duty station was Fort Leavenworth, KS, near Kansas City. The corruption in 2006 for the mid-term elections was rampant. From my post dated October 30, 2006:
Go to the original post for links and references.
These corrupt activists favor Democratic politicians. It's always this way, year after year. We shouldn't try to minimize the reality of this appalling scandal.
The sad fact is that there are many left out of the loop who could benefit from an honest ACORN, but this organization is a liability to democracy. These are felons who tamper with my vote and your vote. And it's a MASSIVE scandal.
I don't disagree with you, Amy. My point is that it sucks when a few people screw up the good intentions of others. ACORN has done some good work, but their numerous scandals will be their undoing.
Amy, Amy, Amy...Sigh..... once again you are the pot calling the kettle black. You don't have to dig too deeply to find the goods on Republican voter fraud. It is all laid out here in this Rolling Stone article. I challenge you, Amy, to refute it rather than dismiss it as a left wing fabrication.

Yeah, well I bet Seventeen magazine has something to say about it too, not to mention Head Magazine.
Rolling Stone? LOL
See? That is what I am talking about. Dismissal.
Keith gives us exactly the kind of toothless argument I expected.
Keith, I understand the article was long, had many 3 syllable words, and no pictures, so you probably didn't struggle with it. But the challenge stands, read the article and refute it if you can.
