A good man was called to his next assignment....
Amen. This is very sad indeed.
Very sad. :-(
Not sad at all for Tony... as a practicing Christian, he's in a better place. Condolences to his beloved wife and children. I loved this guy - he had courage, character and integrity in an industry where sensationalism is paramount. We'll see you on the high ground, brother Tony...
Tony Snow will be missed... God bless his family and may he rest in peace!
Cancer is an awful thing isn't it? My prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends...
It might just be my age but it seems like so many people are dying at a relatively young age. I find it sad.
a loss for everyone.
I sure missed Tony on the radio when he took the press secy. job. he was the best radio talk show host in my mind. one thing that is more rare than an honest politician is an honest reporter. Tony was honest, polite, and was great at cutting thru BS to get to the truth.
Amy: It might just be my age but it seems like so many people are dying at a relatively young age.
SG: 53 seems young doesn't it. I guess Tim amd Tony will be kickin' back together, talkin' about a different 'Big Russ' ...
Snerd
In Memory of...
Tony Snow
He will be truly missed

When I was a kid 40 seemed ancient. Now as an adult 70 is old so these men are dying with 20 years to spare in an age when we have incredible medical advancement. I guess when its your time to go, it's your time.
Interestingly to me, both Russert and Snow are Catholic and were very thoughtful Christians. They both seemed to have excellent marriages and families. I think that's the saddest part.
Mark, I agree. He was a far superior press secretary than Scott McClellan, who stumbled and stammered through every briefing (not saying it isn't a tough job, just noting the ease with which Tony Snow preformed the job) and he was a great Conservative.
Tony Snow's passing caused me to think of somethings I said about Tim Russert after his passing. While I was not vile in my comments, GOD let me know I DID try to judge his motives, and for that I am sorry!
Tony Snow was one of the few TV personalities/newscaster/commentators that people felt as if they were a personal friend. At least I felt that way about him.
It was my thinking about what Tony would think of what I said about Tim Russert that made me come back to appoligize for what I said about him. That and that my LORD and SAVIOR, Jesus Christ chastising me!
God bless Tony and Tim's families!
John
I'm sure Tony Snow would be glad to know he helped you in a change of heart! Great comments, R.A.M.
