Obama Campaign Jet Replaced U.S. Flag with “O”

Did you know that Barack Obama’s campaign chartered 757 North American aircraft underwent a makeover in July? The Obama campaign thought it would be a good idea to take off the American flag from the tail of the plane, a fixture on North American airplanes, and replace it with his his signature “O” logo.

Is there such a thing as flagophobia? Or maybe it’s egomania.

This ve(R)y Ve(R)y cogent point is not diminished by the fact that the particular tail flag in question was part of North American Airlines logo.

However, it does bring up another significant point. Why is the flag on the tail of Air Force One proportionally smaller than the tail flag on North American Airlines ... ?

Clearly "W'z" pat(R)iotism should be in question too!

Or maybe those that speak the truth dont need to wrap themselves in the flag to win supporters....

August 21, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterst

Or, maybe...the airline used an American flag and Obama took it off! This is really simple, snerd. Even a child could look at the picture and figure this out.

st, the Dems tried the "wrapping our candidate in the flag" thing with the DNC tickets in Denver. They don't do so well at that. Conservatives respect the flag too much to use it as clothing or a prop.

And thinking meat, Obama deserves every "attack" he gets. He brings it on himself. He is the most radical liberal in the Senate and he wants to be president. Or is his record supposed to be above scrutiny?

August 21, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy Proctor

How dare you question his patriotism?

"God damn America" and its flag.

August 22, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJohnny

How stupid are you people? You can't appropriate a company's logo just cause it looks pretty. It HAD to come off.

And what's with this flag fetish of yours anyway?

August 22, 2008 | Unregistered Commentergrumpy old fart

How is he the most radical in the senate?

I've come to accept that no matter what Obama does, you are still going to have a problem with it and that's well within your rights. However, you have to admit you're reaching with this one.

August 22, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAdam

Grumpy, my husband risks his life to protect the flag and the Constitution. It's not a fetish, it's patriotism. And last I looked, North American doesn't have a copyright on the U.S. flag. This is just a another thread in a long string of anti-patriotic moves by Obama.

Adam, Obama has the most liberal voting record. Even in the state senate he was the only one to vote in opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. His record is clear.

And you're right, I have a problem with Obama, particularly with his sick abortion agenda.

Ole Fart: "How stupid are you people? You can't appropriate a company's logo just cause it looks pretty. It HAD to come off."

SG: That's like ... one of them ... uhhh ... rhetorical questions ... where the answer is so obvious .... ahhhh ... to answer it would mean you missed the obvious .... isn't it!?

Ole Fart: "And what's with this flag fetish of yours anyway?"

SG: Look ... Clearly the best way to pick a president is to search the country for them guyz that wear them pins all over themselves, that you see at all them geezer conventions. You bring them all together and count the number of 'pat(R)otic' pins an each guy and the one with the most pat(R)iotic' pinz should be president.

Amy: Grumpy, my husband risks his life to protect the flag and the Constitution. It's not a fetish, it's patriotism. "

SG: So ... tha(R) you go ... there is no question of confusing the actual function (Freedom), with the symbol (the flag). The Flag is more important!

Amy: " Obama has the most liberal voting record. Even in the state senate he was the only one to vote in opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. His record is clear."

SG: See now Adam .... That's how you make a '(R)-goo-ment'. No need to go through all that messy detail of qualifying the point. You just state it! That's it!

Amy: And you're right, I have a problem with Obama, particularly with his sick abortion agenda."

SG: Yah ... Like before that Amy was examinin' the pros and CONs of his platform ...

John-Boy: "How dare you question his patriotism?"

SG: Go ahead and question it ... but didn't Pat(R)iotic John denounce the USA in Vietnam? And that was McPatriot himself, not one of his loopy pastors like Hagee, or Fall-Well, or cured-from-the-gayness-Hagart that was doin' it.

Clearly when the going gets tough, McHero caves .... demonstrably, "Unfit for the Rigors of Command"

So what we really need is a Geezer Pin Patrol, in order to find the best president, because it is well known, there is a direct relationship between demonstrations of patriotism on the one hand, and intelligence and judgment on the other

... Like its in the Bible about tithing ... He who most ostentatiously demonstrates piety, is obviously the most pious ...

Snerd Gronk:
You have forfieted what little vestiges of credibility you may have had comparing Barack Obabma's manipulation of the national colors with John McCain being torured for 6 years by communist North Viet Namese.

Your vapid, obtuse and banal utilization of John McCain SUFFERING TORTURE FOR HIS BELOVED COUNTRY to score cheap political points is beyond the pale.

My guess is that you have never worn the uniform of our proud nation on foreign soil. You need to wake the hell up to why you have the right to say irresponsible and treacherous things like that. Its largely due to some servicemember like John McCain sacrificing his/her all for our freedom.

Your gratuitous references to the Bible (which you obviously reject except as a polemical tool) are also deeply insulting.

I don't know why Amy puts up with you. I sure wouldn't.

taunting-John Boy: "How dare you question his [Obama's] patriotism?

Taste-of-his-own-medicine-John Boy: Wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a!

SG: Questioning one man's patriotism, while not questioning the other's, imposes a double standard.

However, saying one man MUST be questioned while the other CAN NOT is hypoc(R)isy.

But, creating a ca(R)icatu(R)e of people whining about being questioned and taunting them with it, as you did and then becoming a Phil G(R)amm whine(R) when your attitude is lobbed back to you ... Well ... as well as (D)eserving it ... it's quite funny, and a function of i(R)ony deficiency, in the first place I think.

LOOK! I think questioning a man's patriotism is tasteless and virtually meaningless as a campaign issue. It is something grown ups shouldn't have to engage in.

However the spin merchants (read - smear merchants), have cynically calculated that although Obama's patriotism is NOT really in question, if they smear him as unpat(R)iotic, (D)z won't dare return the favour.

You, there John-Boy, swallowed it hook, line, sinker and float ... and I think embarrassed yourself in taking the, "Mc'Cane' disowned his contry", bait.

Can't we disagree and still be more grown up than this?

SG: You Si(R), are in no position to make gratuitous judgments about my spiritual nature, but you will. What you could do is ask me about it, or engage the issues in discussion, but you won't.

Your are simply (R)eacting to your own ca(R)icatu(R)es, your p(R)ojections, and so embarrassing yourself ... again.

Obama removing the US Flag is an issue! Obama will not swear in on the Holy Scriptures, Obama will not place his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegiance, Obama is sending signals he wants to change this Nations History.
He does not have that right for he has done nothing to defend this nation.
He is nowhere near an honest man, when he talks about how his mom and dad crossed the bridge in Selma Alabama in hopes of starting a family after they just met is a lie, look at Obamas birthday (1961), the bridge marchs where in 1965, Obama was 4 years old.
Obama claims he is black, he is 50% white, about 40% Arabic, small percent black, yet he claims to be black for the black vote.
Obamas campaings are full of easy to prove lies and destorations of the truth, I am not a big Busch fan, but Busch inheritated a lot of aftermatch from the Clinton administration, 9/11, Katrina, and the Iraqi war!
Mayor Nagin and Govenor Blanco failed New Orleans during Katrina, nether of them was pro-active and took no action, while they where in 4 star hotels doing nothing they blamed the governement for slow reaction and blamed the White House because his chocolate city was under water, bottom line is the Democrats in General do not work with the white house, they find everyway to foul things up so the Busch administration looks bad, remember it is a democratic congress.
Obama is not American, is not for America, if you think fuel prices are high now wait till he gets in office if elected, remember the Arab nations are his brothers and he will lets us go down to cater to them, as a Nation goes broke our enemies prosper and move in.
All Obama does is practice JFK speaches and throws around the word change, if he gets elected the US Flag on his jet will not be the only Us Flag removed!

Guess there's not much to do in South Korea, is there?

If only you LIVED in the United States of America and were a hard working person you would see the damage the Republicans have caused.

September 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterThe Dream

Brilliant commentary, Dreamer. I lived in the United States until June 2008 and I know the damage Democrats want to inflict on my beloved country.

As a military spouse, I live, eat and breathe the military life and know exactly how each political party effects national defense. We were in the Army under the Clinton adminstration and it was a disaster. Clinton stripped down the military from 18 divisions to 10.

When the Bush adminstration came on the scene, help was on the way. Pay, morale and our standard of living (from military housing and benefits) dramatically increased. Not to mention we didn't have to submit to a commander in chief embroiled in constant sex scandals, which were internationally humilitating and degrading to the troops around the world. And we didn't let situations like attacks on the USS Cole go unanswered because we were operating from a position of weakness, thanks to Bill Clinton.

So you're wrong on every point, pal. There IS a lot to do here in South Korea, I have only been in Korea for 3 months and I know how much the Republicans have helped out country.

But thanks.

September 19, 2008 | Registered CommenterAmy Proctor

You people are, frankly, scary in your bind ignorance and utter moronic and unreasoning fear of Obama. It's got to be either out of stark racism, or the fact that you actually believe ANYTHING you're told, no matter how ridiculous.

Obama was under no obligation to keep the airline's logo on the tail once he repainted it. To think so is asinine.

McCain repainted his plane and repainted the tail as well. His plane doesn't have any more flags or bigger flags than Obama's. Why aren't you screw-balls freaking out about THAT?

The fact that anyone is utterly stupid enough to actually argue about how big a flag is on a plane or any of this is the reason American is doomed. People like the commenters above are just too damn stupid to take care of their country. They've lost every skill of critical thinking they ever had, and it's truly sad.

In the debate in Mississippi, Obama wore a flag pin and McCain didn't.

OH MY GOD! Heaven save us all if McCain is elected!! He's obviously out to destroy America and turn us all over to the Godless commies!!! No lapel pin people!!! That's your cue to start acting like mindless scared to death idiots!
