Gore Urges Bipartisanship by Slamming Republicans at DNC

Jerk! It’s clear why Al Gore lost the presidential election in 2000 after watching his speech at the Democratic National Convention in Denver today. He just isn’t presidential material.

In his speech, Gore whined about losing the 2000 election (again) and accused the GOP of wrecking the economy and dragging America through the mud of division and bipartisanship. Did you know Bush is killing mother Earth? And apparently McCain will finish her off.

Gore’s speech left me wondering:

When Gore says “its time to take our country back”, what is he suggesting? Overturning elections? A coup? I thought it was all about the choice of the people.

When Gore criticizes McCain for voting “with Bush” 90% of the time, does he realize McCain is a Republican?

When Gore said Bush abandoned the search for terrorists who attacked us to invade a country that didn’t attack us, does he realize Afghanistan didn’t attack us, either?

When Gore accuses Bush/Cheney of “wrecking the economy”, does he realize that Bush saved the economy after the finaincial hit the U.S. took on 9/11 with tax cuts and rebates? Does he remember that the unemployment rate and poverty rate  were higher under the Clinton/Gore administration than under Bush/Cheney, or that the economy grew 3.3% last quarter despite the democratically controlled House and Senate, and thanks to the Bush rebate checks or that Democrats are the ones who have kept the U.S. dependant on foreign oil?

When Gore talks about Iraq does he forget that there were more U.S. military deaths under the 8 years of Clinton/Gore than in war time under Bush/Cheney?

End the divisive partisan politics of the past! Viva la rhetoric!

One of the reasons there were " more military deaths" under Clinton than other Bush..

Mercenaries

You know, those guys that pick up a rifle to kill for PROFIT, not National security...Yeah...their deaths arent counted.

convenient huh?

Amy, seriously please stop drinking from the FoxNews Kool aid jug.

I don't believe you served for 6 years or have a purple heart unless you tossed it over the White House wall in 1974.

Mercenaries? Right. Are you John Kerry or John Murtha?

Go Fox News!

Blackwater mercenaries are not tallied in the "official" body count.

st,
Private contractors began to become a major part of US policy under Clinton/Gore. You see the US wanted to stop the Serbian forces who were tearing up the Balkans. So Clinton Gore brought in the private contractors known as Military Professionals Inc. to train the croatian army. It worked and the Serbs were beaten back. Of course they then set their eyes on Bosnia, but thats another ugly chapter. So there you have it ST, Al Gore was very happy to use "kill for profit" companies when it suited his admins purposes. On a side note, lets be frank. The left learned that spitting on the US military backfires, so you pour your hate filled venom on contractors instead. By the way I think stopping the Serbs was the right thing to do and using military contractors was the right call.

This is starting to remind me of the old debates on "Election Projection" before the Blogging Caesar had to shut it down... please don't feed the troll :-)

Apologies to all who have no idea whatsoever what I'm talking about...

Robert,

It may have started under Clinton/Gore but it exploded under GW Bush.

Two wrongs dont make a right...didnt they teach you that in kindergarten?

As to your assesment that it was "The right call"...do you really think its right to pay soldiers from other countries to fight our wars for us?

Additionaly, Blackwater pilfers soldiers from the US special forces, pays them double, and holds them accountable for nothing.

This means we have guys in Iraq/Afghanistan/Kosovo/wherever fighting for PROFIT.

Id never spit on the army, just on those that sent them to fight based on lies.

We Should ALL be spitting on this administration.
