If a Democratic government gets control of health care, the next thing that will happen is all Republicans and conservatives will be prescribed sedatives to shut them up.
(:X)
I don't know I think a lot of Dems will get them as well. We can all be Zombies together. Also, once Republicans get back in control the Dems will have serious regrets about Government Healthcare.
Obviously you take this entertainer seriously as a great national leader of the Republican Party - right up there with Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin and Bill O'Reilly.
I hope Republicans keep on quoting this jerk and his imitators and hangers-on. The closer Republicans ally themselves with this moronic bigot, the smaller their party becomes. You're down in the 20% range for people identifying as Republicans. Stick with Rush and try for the single digits! You can do it!
Oh, no. They'll pull out the big guns: psychotropic drugs in an effort to make us seem as crazy as they've been telling people for years that we are.
Charles, how come every time you say something you have to throw some name calling into it? What exactly is it that he does that you know that he's moronic? What exactly has he done that you have the authority to classify him a bigot?
I'm going to tell you something else. Republicans and conservatives are not synonymous. I know I've said that before but you just don't seem to understand it because it doesn't fit into your liberal talking points.
What your side and the Republican squishes have done is wake up the overwhelmingly conservative middle, both left and right. Now that we're awake, you're not going to be able to keep us quiet no matter how hard you try or how many names you dredge up to call us. Until 2006, I couldn't have cared less about politics. I was focused on taking care of my family and our future. You idiot Libs decided that wasn't good enough and you split the country wide open. Now I'm awake and I'm angry.
Live with it. You reap what you sew.
You sewed chaos. Now that you've got it, you don't want it. Live with it.
You sewed victimology. Now that you've got it, you don't know what to do with all the competing victim groups. Live with it.
You sewed a false religion in the name of Obama, your Messiah who isn't. Now that you've got it, you're still not happy. Live with it.
You should be ecstatic but here you are, griping, bullying, and name calling because we disagree. In short, you sew totalitarianism, of being, doing, and thinking. You call people names to bully them into submission. You accuse the other side of doing what you're the ones actually doing. And you can't meet your own eyes in a mirror because of it. Live with it.
Conservatives didn't want this fight but we got it anyway. We just wanted to be left alone to tend to the things that are important to us in our own lives. Liberals weren't happy with that stance so you brought a fight to us. We're pushing back. Live with it.
If Republicans and conservatives are not the same thing, then explain what happened to the non-conservative Republican running for congress in New York's 23rd District?
As for your other points, they simply aren't valid since they ignore the facts.
Amy are you currently covered by a government health plan and if so why do you think other Americans should not be covered? The Catholic Church believes that everyone should receive care when they are sick.
John Ryan mentions the position of the Catholic Church on healthcare. First, USCCB had a special insert put into every bulletin last sund and also read after mass stating that not a single plan now being proposed can be supported and asked everyone to get in touch with their representatives in the house and senate to make sure they understood this. Their main issues are that all the bills fund abortion and also take away the right of people not to be involved in this mass murder because of conscience rights.
Second, the Church of course would view a plan to bring care to the poor as worthwhile. The Church should have concerns about the jobs that many people will lose with these bills and also the debt placed on our country. Should this happen, I doubt there would be money left for donations and few who were now poorer as a result of them supporting this area of reform would remember that at donation time. I sent them a note asking why if they have hundreds of hospitals in the USA and they simply do not take up the cause of furnishing care to the poor for free. Could it be they do not have the money to do this?
Charles again exposes himself as a liberal whacko democrat who hates the republican party. Please do not try to post that you are somewhere in the middle for if the republican party is not strong, you turn the nuts loose from the radical left as we are seeing today. Chalrie says...
"I hope Republicans keep on quoting this jerk and his imitators and hangers-on. The closer Republicans ally themselves with this moronic bigot, the smaller their party becomes. You're down in the 20% range for people identifying as Republicans. Stick with Rush and try for the single digits! You can do it!"
Greta, you may as well realize now, that Charles never lets fact get in the way of his preferred fantasies.
I heard about the Catholic Bishops officially asking their parishioners to contact Congress to lobby against the current health care bills. I hope the next headline I read is that the IRS has removed the tax-exempt status of the Catholic Church since it is doing political advocacy.
Greta, I never said I was in the middle. The point I am making is that the Republican Party is digging its own grave by requiring that all its candidates hew to the far-right ideology pushed by Limbaugh and similar TV and Radio entertainers. If this morning's Morning Joe is any indication, Joe Scarborough agrees with me. He used to be a conservative, you know, but he's not extreme enough to pass muster as a candidate now. He didn't change, the party changed.
As I have pointed out several times before, the people who were major Republican leaders 35+ years ago would be drummed out of the party now by the dittoheads and tea partiers. The people who were major Democratic leaders 35+ years ago would be considered too liberal to be admitted to leadership positions today and they were considerably to the right of any socialist. This is not a coincidence or a freak of nature or an unprovoked sea change in the attitudes of the public. It was a carefully planned and well funded campaign. It fooled you apparently.
John Ryan, I am glad that Amy did not dignify you with a response. Amy and her family are alive in spite of the Military Health care system, not because of it.
