CNN: After 9 Months, Obama Isn't Delivering

On the campaign trail in December 2007, he promised to bring troops home from Iraq in 16 months and to “finish the fight against al Qaeda in Afghanistan.”
He has ordered the Guantanamo Bay prison closed, though he’s likely to miss his self-imposed January deadline.
If 10 months is too short a time to keep promises, it’s been plenty of time to break them, starting with transparency. Promised negotiations televised on C-SPAN didn’t happen nor did the promise of posting bills on the Web before he signed them. Not always, at least.
There are lobbyists in the White House, despite a promise that, “they will not work in my White House.”
Meanwhile, the economy worsens, healthcare reform is going nowhere fast and the deficit and national debt have quadrupled.

The marxist Progressives in our Government act with impunity in their quest. What is their quest?
In Healthcare - why do they want control of our bodies and why do they wish to import policies demonstrated in other countries to be personally and financially destructive?
In Energy - why do they want control of carbon, a fundamental component of every compound in commerce including transpo fuel, electricity, food and all other consumer goods?
In National Security - why do they persistently attack to undermine Defense, Intelligence and Anti-Terror policy?
In Environmental Issues - why do they monetize and create legislation over every blade of grass, every cricket and every molecule of atmosphere?
In Government - why do they attempt to concentrate political and legislative power away from the individual and the community and toward the State and Federal Government, while growing government and its beauracracy to an unprecedented scale and size with reach into every corner of our person and communities.
In Spending / Deficit Creation - why are so many States in deep deficit, the Federal Govt in terminal velocity of spending with incalculable debt which is impossible to pay off?
In Justice - why the vigorous defense of the terrorists interred in Guantanamo, and the release of the photos of our military defenders and guardians to the terror networks in the on-going fight against the Jihadist's?

Amy, back some time ago, when the White House pulled that stunt on the press pool over Fox, I said we'll soon be watching the deconstruction of the myth of Obama. With the elections yesterday, CNN sees the "writing on the wall" whether they'll publicly admit to it or not. The Blue Dog Dems are not going to fall on a sword for Obama as they realize they're throwing their own careers away by signing on to any part of his agenda, just as the idiot Republicans got trashed for helping Bush grow government during his tenure.
What they do realize is that Obama is going to be a lame duck and all those empty promises of media bailouts are not going to be forthcoming.
Time to grab the popcorn and enjoy the farce.
Except for his promise to “finish the fight against al Qaeda in Afghanistan”, I for one, am grateful that Obama is NOT delivering. (:D)

Candy is quite correct. Obama made a lot of promises and immediately after winning the election, he began appointing people who opposed the changes he promised to make. One can only conclude that he knew, at least by the end of the campaign, that he was lying through his teeth about the change we can believe in. The problem is not with Obama's stated agenda, the problem is that he didn't do anything to actually enact the agenda he talked about.
The Democrats lose elections when they fail to turn out their base. In this case Markos Moulitsas is right "Tonight proved conclusively that we're not going to turn out just because you have a (D) next to your name, or because Obama tells us to. We'll turn out if we feel it's worth our time and effort to vote, and we'll work hard to make sure others turn out if you inspire us with bold and decisive action."
Mike, the far right of the Republicans is hard for anyone to take just as the far left is hard for anyone to take being as it includes such wonderful people as the Code Pink crowd, Cindy Sheehan, and every communist loving celebrity in the country. The far right includes such dignitaries as Timothy McVeigh(technically he wasn't but that's beside the point) and every crackpot government conspiracy that can be dreamed up... which is something I've noticed both the far left and far right capable of doing.
The left to right continuum isn't a straight line continuum as many people portray it but circular. There is but a notch or two on that circle that separates the far left from the far right when you envision it that way. Those notches are usually the compilation of social issues that differ between them.
However, now that the far left is in charge of the Democrats, anybody who doesn't buy into every half baked program they dream up is a right wing extremist. I don't think it's going to stay that way for long now the middle has woken up. I guess they got too impatient with incrementalism and decided to go whole hog.

"He didn't deliver" is the new mainstream meme about Obama coming from such trumpeters as SNL, CNN, the CBC in Canada, and through numerous other communications channels as well.
And what about Joe Biden? Is his "bumbling simpleton'" personna a ruse? Do you really think a bumbling simpleton could politic his way to the office of Vice President of the United States? Oops, I'm the Vice-what? Well don't that beat all?
Obama hasn't delivered visible results on his grand promises, and it appears that several of those promises were merely ingenuine vote lures that have been discarded like the packaging that's tossed aside when you unwrap the real goods. Now that the package is open, and the deal is closed, with no exchanges nor returns, Obama has been very quick to deliver the changes that satisfy Obama's own priorities.
He raided the public purse to the peculiar benefit of a large number of his friends. He has communized industries, advanced anti-life, and anti-human rights intitatives, and redefined the role of government, increasing it's scope and influence, while simultaneously concentrating more power in his own grasp. His priorities are showing.
We need to ask ourselves; If you were Obama, would you rather have people looking at the power you have siezed, the disasters you have inflicted, and the dangers you have increased over here? Or would you prefer to have them looking at a perceived void over there?
Will we see a switch in the Obama personna to a "doing something" boldness as he pulls some pre-staged rabbit out of some illusory hat for the adoring crowds. Or is there a new change afoot? Do I smell a rat?
Either this leftist-political-media cartel are up to something, or the honeymoon is over. Are the media walking out the door, suing for divorce on the grounds of too much red ink? Are the politicos changing their stripes to assuage the crowds they were called to serve?
Or, is it as Occam's Razor asserts, the most likely answer; That the prayers of the just are being answered by our loving Father according to His promise. "The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil." (Psalm 125:3)
We have never been so well ensconced within the US government before. Biden, Pelosi, Sebelius, 6 of the 9 Supreme Court Justices, 128 Congresspersons, and 24 Senators are all our beloved brothers & sisters in the mystical body of Christ. Pray to our Father to touch their hearts and minds so they will turn to truth and act in justice at all times. May they, like Queen Esther, use the power God has placed in their hands to save. Pray without ceasing.

timo, I think the point is that if CNN isn't exactly fair and balanced either and this is their assessmente, it isn't looking good for the Democrats.

Charles, I never stopped the meds. Thanks for the concern. Of course I know now that Obama is a feel good do nothing type of guy. He was more productive as a Senator, which he even collaborated with people like Sen. Coburn. I am starting to wonder if Barry is a closet conservative?
