Axelrod: NY Race Where Dems Won is Representative of Nation, Not VA and NJ Races Where Dems Lost
Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 08:39AM Senior Obama Advisor David Axelrod spinning the two tough Democratic gubernatorial losses as he explains to Fox News that Tuesday’s defeats weren’t commentary on Obama’s policies:
AXELROD: The New York- 23 race was the one race that was really a microcosm of the national debate. The other races in Jersey and in Virginia were really state races, very much focused on state issues and we think it sends a message to other Democrats that when we stick together and we fight for the right things, we’re gonna do well.
Speaking of denial, someone’s going to need some serious medications around this time next year.

Elections,

Poor David, he is after all the puppet master.
He must really be bummed since he talked to the "non-news network."
Of course, because New York is the measuring stick of all things yes?
Spin sounds soo dumb to me. Axelrod sounds just as ridiculous as Amy did calling the governor wins "sweeping victories".
Yeah, I saw that interview with "Axlerot". What a buffoon. Quite to the contrary, Corzine and Deeds associated themselves much more closely with Obama than Owens in NY-23 did. See HERE. Maybe if Owens tried to look like he was running for Obama's VP, he too would have lost.
of course NY was more indicative. Virginia was meaningless. During Bush admin. 2 dems won including Warner in Nov. 2001 when Bush was at the height of his popularity.
NY23 will regret it. Owens broke 3 or 4 of his campaign promises within an hour of being sworn in.
