New VA and NJ Governors Both Pro-Life Catholics

You could just sort of tell that Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell were pro-life Catholics.  Maybe it’s all the kids they have.  And their seriousness about saving their states for their children’s children.  And their dedication to the nuclear family.

Both Republican gubernatorial candidates, Chris Christie who defeated incumbent Governor Jon Corzine in New Jersey, and Bob McDonnell, who clobbered Democrat challenger Creigh Deeds of Virginia, are both pro-life Catholics.

Good for them. I hope some of their values rub off onto others.

Good to see life is a value some politicians are not afraid to support.

I'm just glad to see some Catholics actually living the faith in their public lives for a change. I'm sick of the self-proclaimed Catholics like John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Sebelius who say they believe with their lips but prove they don't with their actions and policies.

I really, really like Chris Christie. He's great.

I hope they don't lose sight of their Catholic values once in power...so often politicians do just that once they have reached the throne.
