ACORN Officials Videotaped Telling Undercover Couple How to Run Child Prostitution Ring
Friday, September 11, 2009 at 06:19AM Undercover duo James O’Keefe, 25, posed as a pimp with 20-year-old Hannah Giles, who posed as a prostitute while visiting ACORN’s office in Baltimore.
Their objective: to see if ACORN is as corrupt as they suspected.
From James O’Keefe:
Additionally, instead of focusing on foreclosure itself, which has become seemingly as politicized as abortion, we focused on crimes more difficult for the left to defend: trafficking of young helpless girls and tax evasion. The first group represents the severely disadvantaged, the second a threat to the distribution of wealth.
Hannah Giles and I took advantage of ACORN’s regard for thug criminality by posing the most ridiculous criminal scenario we could think of and seeing if they would comply–which they did without hesitation.
The couple told ACORN staffers they wanted to secure housing where the woman could continue to maintain a prostitution business with minor foreign girls. They also wanted legal council from ACORN.
ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now that Barack Obama worked with in Chicago and whom he apparently still supports to this day, bills itself as the nation’s largest community of low- and moderate-income families “working together for social justice and stronger communities.”
Here are the unbelievable undercover videos from the Big Government website:
Some of the crimes the ACORN worker would have committed if it were a real scenario that could bring a total sentence of 24 years in prison, include:
• (a) commit prostitution
• (b) operate a prostitution ring
• (c) file false documents with taxing and other government authorities
• (d) file false documents with a bank [also known as bank fraud]
• (e) violate numerous immigration laws
• (f) transport children into the U.S. for immoral purposes
• (g) transport women into the U.S. for immoral purposes [also known as violating the Mann Act]
• (h) impair the welfare of minors.
It’s TIME to demand ACORN operate without taxpayer funds. And they should have NOTHING to do with conducting the US Census.
CENSUS BUREAU SEVERS TIES WITH ACORN
“Over the last several months, through ongoing communication with our regional offices, it is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 Census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 Census efforts.”
“Unfortunately, we no longer have confidence that our national partnership agreement is being effectively managed through your many local offices. For the reasons stated, we therefore have decided to terminate the partnership.”
Not good enough! The federal government should cut all funding to ACORN. We need to demand it.
State’s Attorney Considers Prosecuting ACORN Video Posters
The Baltimore city state’s attorney is considering prosecuting those responsible for taping the ACORN employees on charges that they violated Maryland’s wiretap laws.
Undercover journalism is illegal but being a peeping Tom and posting naked video of an unsuspecting sports anchor on the web isn’t?

May I say again, "Relaxed ,orals of the left"? The genius here is that Conservatives don't have to do anything; Liberals are commiting Hari-Kiri, only without the prerequisite honor, LOL!
Amy, if I messed the blockqoute thing up, can you edit it please?
This is the quote I tried to post...
During the 2008 Presidential campaign Barack Obama told audiences, 'Judge me by the people with whom I surround myself.'
Dang, I need instructions
Very disturbing. I thought they had gone to new lows, but this is the lowest.
The most disturbing part is not that they're willing to break all sorts of laws but that they have no concern whatsoever for the human trafficking of minor girls. What the hell is wrong with these people? They should be thrown in jail just for being so evil.
This is unreal! I have to think the authorities will be going after the women in this video.
Acorn is funded by the Government.......So this is what it means to be a "Community Organizer."
The people that I really feel sorry for are these ignorant misguided women. This is LIBERAL MENTALITY at it's worst, by adhering to that mantra "don't judge people", they lost their ability to reason that this was wrong on many levels.
Liberalism is the disease, ACORN is the delivery system and now we see the victims. My fear is that this lack of judgment is prevalent throughout this organization and the women are being thrown overboard, where the real criminals have insulated themselves, like a mafia.
One last thing I still have my ability to judge and "Kenya" the prostitute is the HOTTEST ghetto prostitute I've ever seen. LOL!
I agree that ACORN should be fully investigated to make sure they are appropriately carrying out their government contracts. And so should Kellogg, Brown and Root, Blackwater, Wackenhut, Dyncorp, and all the other groups the government has outsourced its functions to. ACORN is small potatoes compared to the billions being wasted by the big corporate entities that are in bed with half the politicians on the Hill.
If the government feels compelled to outsource its functions to private industry, then at the very least they need to make sure those private companies are doing at least as well as the government employees they replaced and doing it for lower cost. If not, we should tear up their contracts and hire back the government workers and save the taxpayers a few billion.
Really Charles, The companies you mention might have overcharged the Government. Do you really think this little stuff is small potatoes? The moral compass is spinning all around here.
Mike, if ACORN did that same fraud 1000 times, it probably would not equal the graft and corruption of one of the big military contractors. Sure the story is more sensational, like say an Oval Room BJ, but it simply doesn't compare to the level of thievery of Halliburton, KBR, Lockheed, etc.
I say go ahead and prosecute Giles and O'Keefe. Take it to trial! There's not a jury in this world that will convict them. The state attorney will be under enough pressure to turn coal into diamonds to drop this thing. ACORN is already facing unspeakable disgrace. If the state attorney prosecutes this thing... ouch for him.
Don't get me wrong, Giles and O'Keefe are patriots as far as I'm concerned. They shouldn't be criminalized for exposing criminality. All I'm saying up there is that the court of public opinion is already on their side.
Am I the only one who doubts that the feminist groups are going to speak up about this?
What ACON is doing is not small potatos. IF this is an example of how they conduct buisness, then that are no less then destorying communities by endorsing any perverse act that crosses their door way. Of course, Charles, unless you don't have a problem with exploiting children in this country.
Charles,
You sited private businesses who are possibly taking advantage of the Federal government. If they are, then indeed punish them. But there is no comparison between them and the corruption that is oozing from the seams of ACORN. These people are instructing (would be) criminals on how to set up a child prostitution ring, and hide it within the tax code, for crying out loud!
ACORN is indeed organizing communities; communities of derelicts and criminals that are feeding off our tax dollars spent on welfare, and the innocence of children. They are moving the US to a mentality similar to Mexico where children are considered nothing more than a commodity. They have also been involved with voter fraud and voter intimidation, with many of their members serving time in prison for those crimes.
ACORN has no respect for their community, the State in which they operate, or the laws of our Country. Yet they have been tasked with the 2010 census. Even if they were 100% accurate (which they can never be) no one will ever believe the data which they submit as true. They are a biased organization that will skew the results to suit their needs.
Here’s a prognostication:
In the 2000 Census, the total Black population was @12.3%, Hispanic @12.5%, Caucasian @71.3% and the remaining 3.9% was divided between Asian, Pacific Islanders, etc.
According to ACORN, the results of the 2010 Census will be Black 25-30%, Hispanic 20-25%, Caucasian 40-45% and the remaining 5-10%.
Gary, if someone is grabbing old ladies' handbags and taking their SS money after they leave the bank, and someone else is defrauding the bank to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, then I would spend my time catching the big time thief. That's the situation here. While you may not agree with ACORN's goals, the extent to which they are defrauding the government cannot possibly compare on a dollar-for-dollar basis with the corruption of any one of several military contractors. Compare their alleged crimes here to the recent exposure of the Wackenhut contractors supposedly guarding our embassy in a war zone. Which one costs the taxpayer more? Which one puts human life at a greater risk? No contest.
As for the census, I want ever single person in the United States to be counted (only once of course). We need accurate information not information biased by race or economic status. I see the Census has terminated ACORN's contracts - a good idea in my book. I hope they find a reputable vendor to help them insure an accurate count that isn't biased by the assumptions or prejudices of census workers.
Allow me to translate what Charles is saying for those of you who don't speak Liberal.
"Don't talk about St. Hopenchange (the Patron Saint of Teleprompters)! Halliburton! Bush! Oil! Lockheed! Conspiracies!"
In the plus column though, Charles is being a lot more proactive in his defense of ACORN than Barry The Teleprompter Messiah is. He's bravely ventured into the blogosphere to speak up. Admittedly, he's doing it with four year old talking points that haven't been part of the discourse in quite some time because, I guess, the White House hasn't established an official party line just yet. He knows this is indefensible but he's sure giving it his best shot.
Charles, this isn't about what Halliburton, KBR (who, btw, haven't played a tremendous role anyway), or whoever else did or didn't do, it's about the officers at ACORN helping would be criminals set up a prostitution ring around underage girls, break umpteen zillion tax laws, umpteen zillion immigration laws and who knows what else, all so someone might've been able to run for Congress. Stick to the issue, my friend.
Trent,
Moral standards are not found on the top ten list of priorities in the Liberal world. His response was completely void of reference to the "14 year old girls" and was totally focused on $$.
No moral compass present there.
With that being said,
If this is true, then you and I agree on this point.
Sure, Gary and Trent. If your moral standards call for protection of non-existent 14-year-old girls (it was a sting operation after all) but you don't care if our men and women in uniform are put at risk by shoddy construction, shoddy equipment, or trigger-happy mercenaries making 10 times what our soldiers make, then you have very queer moral standards.
I'm not minimizing the crimes ACORN was caught committing, I'm saying that in the bigger scheme of things, those crimes are peanuts compared to other crimes that go unpunished and even rewarded every day.
I would say that you're missing the point except (1) it wouldn't help and (2) you're doing it on purpose anyway.
True, the 14-year old would be hookers don't exist... but the ACORN officers didn't know that.
In fact, I'm not sure which is worse- ACORN for doing this or you for choosing to change the subject.
Good call Trent.
I'm not changing the subject. The problem is government contracting with private organizations to perform services that were formerly performed by government employees. We get poorer quality services at higher prices because several of the organizations with those contracts intentionally defraud the government. ACORN's fraud is a bit sexier than bad electrical work in a military base bathroom, but the scale of the fraud is much smaller.
You disgust me, Charles. I just want you to know that.
"We get poorer quality services at higher prices because several of the organizations with those contracts intentionally defraud the government."
Really? How about this short list:
Boeing;
Mcdonnell-Douglas
Lockheed
Northrop-Grumman
Bell
Sikorsky
Colt
Beretta
Barrett
Sig Arms
Winchester
Bradley
Ford
Hummer
Jeep
IBM
MAC
Gateway
Endless clothing companies, food suppliers, shoe manufactures, medical and dental suppliers, Building contractors, data storage facilities, ETC., all private businesses helping to make our federal government stronger and better without screwing the pants off us. Not to mention the security provided by Blackwater that is present in over 60 countries world wide, that frees our special forces up to engage the enemy head on.
You are a complete simpleton with no grasp of reality. Private enterprise is the core of our economy, and with the exception of a few companies that have taken advantage of government contracts, our country still thrives... in spite of individuals who seek to destroy her at her core with their archaic idea of socialism.
